Today's Tids Issue 5.744
I like slow:
Today is National “Drink Wine Day”, just in case you woke wondering what to do on a cold February Tuesday.
I remember the old adage of my youth; Work in the private sector to make money and for the government for security. Hmmm.
I imagine some of you think I drink wine every day while writing a sometimes-blurry Tids.
We are one month into the Trump Presently. A lot of has apparently happened, but there isa long way to go. And when people's livelihoods are threatened the balance of concerns change. Will be an interesting dynamic to watch going forward. Everything is about money regardless of altruistic statements.
The Question:
A dramedy is a combo of drama that is trying to be funny. What do the Pople of the USA think are the top ten dramedies of the last 5-6 years or so.?

NASA research reveals that a midday 20-minute nap is beneficial and should be essential for day long mental acuity. So, we paid NASA research to determine what any retired old geezer has known for years.
The congress people, local political wags and senators around here are suffering spending cuts angst along with their pals in the Education Unions. What No more money? Our kids will suffer. More than Now? RI ranks 6th among all states in $$$ spent per pupil and te pupils come in 35Th in Math and 23rd in reading. Massachusetts just inches away is #1 in Math and #2 in Reading. So, it isn’t the water.
I thought yesterday’s Tids was pretty good -- irritable to everybody,
I guess knowing you are alive makes hanging upside down in a plane like bats makes you feel pretty damn good. How emotional is ecstatic and scared to hell at the same time. The big question is, what made the plane flip on a dry runway with no crosswinds at the time (That is according ot official reports,)
Seniors don't have enough stored energy to risk it by getting mad. But Musk’s foray into Social Security may change that,
It used to be an icy day in February. Now it's a Polar Vortex.
I owned some Ali Baba stock when Xi beat up on Jack Ma, mainly because his company was too good for the China way of life. And more likely because he thought he was important and untouchable by the communist party. Now Ma is back, and he is best buddies with XI who now realizes China needs Alibaba’s AI, and other world class techs like Huawei, BYD and yes, the rascal that sent US AI stocks reeling, DeepSeek. China will be a player in these future hot markets, but can they repair the infrastructure of their basic economy tipsy from a too hot real estate problem. Maybe Trump can out some buildings there. After Gaza of course.
One advertising campaign that probably saved lives was that of Burma Shave -- fun and informative. A reader reminds me of teh clever signson back roads that were the highways of yore with a message like “Don't lose your head to gain a minute. You need your head; your brains are in it.”
Elon Musk has 13 Children by four wives just in case you wonder what the super-rich do in their spare time. Some of the kids will be explingn theri names more than anything, names like X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Siderael and Techno Mechanicus. Musk says they will not automatically be receiving his fortunes unless they care about running the business and have the aptitude and brains to do it well. His first child Nevada Alexander by his first wife Justine Wilson died after 10 months of SIDS.
In today's giant world of complexities what I think, what you think may be lightyears away from the thoughts of millions.
Honestly... does Marco Rubio look like a world class negotiator.
“Cautious Rider to her reckless dear, Let’s have less bull and a little more steer.” Burma Shave
Well, if you aren’t a big wine drinker, today is also Crab Stuffed Flounder Day. Now that sounds intriguing to me. Floundering feels familiar sitting here typing at times.
The Answer:
Number1 is one I coudl not watch “White Lotus”. And definitely not my humor. Next is Ted Lasso (Good), Reservation Dogs, Somebody Somewhere, Hacks, After Life, Dead to Me, Why Women Kill, The Resort and Only Murders in the Building. Today’s super popular “The Bear” is only #33.
“The Midnight ride of Paul for beer, Led to a warmer hemisphere.” Burma Shave
Going back in time to the wonderful year of 1968 we find the final concert effort by Cream singing "White Room”. Can you still sing white room today? It’s an old favorite tune of mine, A good way to keep us bouncing on a frigid day.
