Which way.

Today's Tids Issue 5.768

A little kindness:

I will avoid going to any restaurant that sends out an email, Join us for a “Hoppy” Easter dinner. Any place that cant be more creative than Hoppy" probably doesn’t know how to make gravy.

Happy Vernal Equinox, Everybody. Today the gloriously sunny days will equal the hours of the caressing, comforting darkness of nights.  Isn't that a great idea after a cold winter. Actually, in reality, it didn’t feel that cold. It just felt like, well, um... winter.

My guess is that Trump likes these judgments against him. It gives hima target to rail at and rallies his troops, binds them together behind him. And he just may want to drag them all to go to the Supreme Court where he would win victories to set new precedents for Executive Action. But personally, I think is court is more independent than he thinks. Insulting fellow brethren of the legal system is not conducive to broad based unquestioned support by fellow jurists.

Powell saidTransitoryabout the effect of Tariffs on the economy. That is good news for the Admin. Maybe for all of us who depend on a healthy capital market. But I think we have a long way to go with plenty to shake out during the journey

God initially planned to use wasps to pollinate flowers. But in the end, he went with plan Bee.

The Question:

What are considered the five best all time Sci Fi movies?

The Headlines:

I can't find my Tids note pad, so I don't know if I had any brilliant ideas yesterday to write about this morning. Obviously not.

When two flowers have a child, it is called plant parenthood.

Today the March Madness begins in earnest. We have seen the prelims where Xavier beat Texas, Mount Saint Mary's beat American, NC beat San Diego State (Decisively) and Alabama State beat Saint Francis with a last second out of nowhere basket. So, the excitement has started. Now we look for the Cinderellas. Early results had Creighton beating Louisville in what was my toughest pick. Early Cinderella possibility-- McNeese over Clemson (MCNS 40, Clemson18 into second half.

There must be way to bring efficiency into the government without belittling Americans.

My newspaper sports section is awful. There has been next ot noting about the Red Sox and this morning there was a giant story about Francona as the new manager of Cincinnati. So, Cincy is a nice townbut... That’s what happens when a nation entity takes over a solid local newspaper (In this case USA Today, pretending they are local), it goes national. Bewar e of an encroaching c government that says it wants to do things cheaper. Bye-Bye states' rights

Since the beginning of the Tids over 25 years ago I have been writing about the dangers of local government sectors taking federal money because without question they own you and there goes freedom of expression and independence. And now, we see it.

My wife complains I don't buy her flowers. Honestly, I didn't know she sold flowers

What I have observed is that profound utterances about the state of the economy and stock markets one day will typically go 180 degrees the next day. And then I feel guilty about what I write the day before

The Answer:

I can agree with Alien, which scared the crap out of me, as number one. Next is The Matrix followed by 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Thing, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Metropolis, Terminator 2, Back to the Future, ET, Inception, Planet of the Apes, Ex Machina, Interstellar, RoboCop and #15, The Day the Earth Stood Still.

The lighter side of Sci-Fi. Thought it would be fun:
