So far, the battle in Iran has proven for sure that the Iranians did have weapons of mass destruction. Interestingly though, I wonder if taking out Madura was even more important as some of the US great enemies were closely tied to Madura and had freedom to of access in Venezuela – China, Russia and Iran. Venezuela could have become a dangerous launching pad in our own back yard. 

 

I had a moral dilemma this morning, should I spray deer repellant on my budding plants just as the deer are roaming again looking for food after a harsh winter. Deer are large animals and have internal mechanisms that allow them to stay warm and exists\ on little food. But when the weather truns warm and energy returns they need a lot more fuel to replace burned up calories stored in fatty layers. Do I allow thema starter breakfast in my garden? I mean, i grew up in an era when kids had a Bambi complex.

One disturbing statistic shows Americans withdrawing money from 401 Ks at an unprecedented pace. Hardship withdrawals is up from last year. Yes, This planned retirement fund for typically lower income, overextended people is looking mire like an emergency fund of last resort. The three main reasons for withdrawal are medical expenses, eviction, or foreclosure. And the big problem for the future could be, how do people live with no or little income. It's a conundrum.

Are you familiar with Kharg Island”? The coastal waters of Iran are too shallow for tankers. So in the late 70’s US company Amoco built an oil export depot on this coral island 27 miles off the Iranian coast. Iran took it over after the Shah was ousted. All pipelines run termimate there, and it accounts for 90% of oil shipped. With all the US bombing, they say 5,000 targets struck, Kharg remains untouched. Money talks.

Have you been reading about the death row case in Alabama. A state law required a death penalty for a man who didn't kill anybody. He was part of a 6 man gang that robbed an Auto Zone store, The man Charles Burton entered the store with a gun, ran to the back and stole cash, He then went out the car to waitfor the others, One of the otehrs shot and killed a customer in cold blood. The shooter received a life sentence but But=rton who wasn't there, didn't direct the murder and didn't pull the trigger was sentenced to death. He was sentenced under a law described as “Felony Murder” which allows prosecutors to charge with murder anybody involved in  criminal, act where a person is murdered. Laws shoot shouldn't prevent people from using their rational brains. Yesterday the Governor halted the execution on the very last day saying it was just to save Burton from death,.. After 27 years on death row. One of his biggest supporters was a member of the innocent murder victim's family. Thinking is good. 

 

I seem to be having trouble finding a pizza I like. Or maybe after all these years I'm just tired of eating pizza. Maybe, just maybe, I'm no longer a teenager. 

 

Probably the greatest thing Trump could do for Trump is stop talking.

I'm seeing a Congress that is moving slower. With November elections coming in just a little under nine months, politicians seem less committal to potential controversial votes. Every race this year seems close. Maybe they are thinking, what do my people want as opposed to marching in lockstep with party overarching goals. You know, do what they are supposed to do – represent their people.
