Today's Tids Issue 6,022
Friday is for forgetting:
I'd rather write about a flower,
But readership grows,
When it’s about things sour.
I’d prefer lilting poems
About the big blues sky.
But ears open wide,
To news of celebrities high.
I like words describing,
All the good things in life.
But heads always turn
To items of political strife.
Yes, this beautiful world
Is full of wonderful views
That is until you read the news.
I'm inclined to say a lot of stuff in here, but I twist my arm a lot not to.
Don’t you just love the hypocrisy of guys and gals answering questions before congressional committees while trying to get approved for big government jobs. Markwayne Mullin was a doozy. I don't remember taking a course on spinning in college.
Part of the genius of product design these days is making them shippable by Amazon.
99% of bracketteers lost yesterday when Wisconsin went down to little High Point. I did too but I picked a couple of nice upsets, going for teams off the national expert's radar.

People are worried about gas prices but think about how crippling to world energy a war like this can be, when oil and gas are held hostage. The Ukraine war induced Gas shortages that were formidable, but nothing like the effects of the current situation in Iran according to Fatih Birol Chief of the IEA (International Energy Agency) “It is the greatest global energy security threat in history.” He added that “Politicians and markets were still underestimating the threat of the Crisis. Birol was the guy who put Europe’s energy resources back together following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the resultant energy disruptions.
Yesterday, the FCC and DoJ allowed the $6.8 Billion takeover of Tenga by Nexstar giving the company control of 80% of all TV stations. There are lots of potential problems in my mind. One being that the companies will want a big return and cuts to traditional news and entertainment outlets could place them among the missing. Like see what happened to newspapers. Will news be sourced from a more “efficient” central location. Will local news be more about podcasters evaluation of statistics instead of what is really going on. There are so many questions. But it won't be better.
Never giving up hope is hard to do some day.
Do you know what is hard about reporting and commenting on this war – spelling Iranian names.
It seems like Easter should be getting here faster.
Trope: A recurring motif plot device which readers or viewers recognize. It can often be a cliche. Some categories are enemies and lovers where two who hate each other fall in love, Or pulling a normal person into a heroic journey; a mentor guiding younger hero to be; a damsel in distress. Tropes are used too often and to my way of thinking are a crutch for a lazy writer,. I knowo, My novels are full of them. But love always wins in the end.
So where is the outcry of “Senior Discrimination” after the headline, “Venezuela ousts senior commanders?” Huh?
If the world situation wasn't so serious, this could easily be a presidential humor column.
90% of Trump’s ultra supportive Maga group support the war.
The Answer:
Chuck’s biggest role was “Walker, Texas Ranger> He was also noted for his work in Delta Force and Missing in Action. He was a world professional Middleweight Karate Champion; His career really took off after his famous fight with Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon.
Well, it's Friday again. This week sped by but it was also filled with laughs and delightful highlights. The greatest thing in the world is having things to look forward to, evcn the slightest little things,
Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
I was reminded of great musical yesteday – Showbost. It's filled with memorable songs. And lots of those good old fashioned stories. And levity and whimsy. And the music just keeps on rolling along, even as it nears its 100th anniversary in December 2027. Yeah, the Ziegfeld prodcued, Kern-Hammerstein written show is still, quite humable. Here's a quick overview to carry you into the weekend”
