Up and Down.

Today's Tids Issue 6,036

When was morning:

Sometimes my rhetoric.

Seems properly poetic;

looking for life's meaning,

Through words streaming.

But no poet am I, you know.

Just letting my emotions flow.

When he had to do the impossible, he did it. Its one reason he won the Masters. Rory McIlroy’s shotmaking yesterday inspired me to create more shots that are well beyond my capability. It could ruin my game, but it would be fun if they worked. I'd be better off trying to emulate smooth and steady Scottie Scheffler. He is always there somehow when then the final holes approach... the silent stalker.

Everything the President says is becoming so predictable. Especially in response to anybody who offers criticism.

I saw an interesting line in the comic Non Sequitur the other day: “The tattoo has become the permanent stain of conformity.” Think about it. It's like a woman I once knew who threw away her wedding pictures because to be trendy, she trapped husband into wearing the 70’s leisure suits of that era's fashion mania.

,,

The Question:

What do you tink will be the punch line to the following? “Did you hear about the director of the Department of Motor Vehicle who resigned on Tuesday?

The Headlines:

--Markets Open Lower after Trump Calls for Blockade and Oil Surges Back over $100; Markets higher in Mid PM; Goldman Sachs Posts Solid Q1 Results on Stock Trading and M&A Surge.

I am happy to say I'm glad most of my life occurred before Streaming took over sports TV broadcasting. The final of the Master's usually starts early with CBS and continues til the end. Ysterday’s broadcast began on streamer Paramount and moved to CBS around 3:00. Of course, I fidgeted as I waited. And that will be just the beginning for Paramount as they vie for more sports to help improve the return on their $112 Billion investment in Warner Bothers. Paid for streaming is not going away and sports will be one of the big money makers... at the expense of so-called free TV. Get used to it. Did you notice that the NFL will be on TV 6 of 7 days next season?

I'm not going to get into the costs of going to a world soccer match this summer. Yikes.

Well, He did it. Mamadi opened his first City owned grocery store. What is bext? I understand Macy's could be for sale, cheap. Just kidding, of course. Or am I? This is not how to make America great again.

I'll tell you what seems scary, these attacks on the home of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. First with a Molotov Cocktail and now with Gunfire a private industrialist's home is not safe from disgruntled employees or wild-eyed anti AI activists. And they are those for sure. Nobody is talking much, but Altman has been characterized as reckless with an unknown force that could disrupt humaity, criticized for working with the military “developing autonomous military technologies and described in the New Yorker for a, Sociopathic lack of Concern.” There are activist groups preaching total doom, and frankly people are scared. Reasonable groups want more safety features and a slowing of development until more is known. Yes, AI has an air of mystery to it for sure, but the scariest thing is still humans, especially some who think attacking a person like Altman can stop inevitability... and that AI may learn from them.

We live right now in an era of extreme volatility, what's true in the morning is false in the evening. So I have decided not to pay attention to anything until something is over.

The Answer:

He tried to resign on Monday, but found he'd been standing in the wrong line.

See you tomorrow.
