Glowing.

Today's Tids Issue 6,039

Slathering:

What is a dentist’s favorite time? 2:30

Is that the way the long downhill road to writer’s oblivion begins.

I hope this doesn’t become a bad omen for Jamie Ding and the beginning of his end. Ding, in case you haven’t been watching, is the Jeopardy contestant who just passed the delightful Mattea Roach to amass the fifth highest all-time consecutive game winning streak at 24. Yeah, I haven't mentioned him yet. Could the Tids Hex of Doom strike again? I hope not. I like him. Ding now resides behind Ken Jennings (74), Amy Schneider (40), cool Matt Amodeo 38 and the ever-dynamic James Holzheimer at 32.

In another kind of jeopardy, the Iran peace talks are revving up again. The current Iran regime despite the onslaught of American and Israel firepower still seems resolute to retain their power. Iran isa lot different than Venezuela. Venezuela was run by a common thief and tyrant with little depth of purpose. But Iran for years has been and continues as a religious movement. The resilience there is an entirely different ball game. And Im not talking soccer. Whether or not we like it, it is in the soul.

There was something special about today.

Maybe it was the glistening sun

And the flowers blooming everywhere.

Maybe it is what I remembered.

During my summers without a care.

The Question:

Eggs Benedict always taste great to me. Like Martinis, this classic dish has been bastardized and retransformed into other "Benedicts”. Name five other versions popular in your area..

The Mag Seven especially Meta, Amazon and Microsoft. are expected to spend $600 Billion this year building datacenters to support their predictions for AI growth. The big chip designers, NVidia, Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom are feeling  strong demand from AI driven companies. And the dominant producer of these cuttng edge processors is TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.) Oh. I forgot to mention, China is gobbling up chitps at a dramatic pace. So there we have it, Taiwan that little island that China dearly wants to annex and the US has vowerd to protect is a key to the biggest industry of the future. Now there is a real global problem that just happens to involve the two biggest powers on earth.

The Yale report tells universities what they probably already knwo  they created the problems and they can fix them. Though kids will still apply in droves because it will be the greatest four years of parties they will ever experience.

Today is National Wear Pajamas to Workday. I’m glad I work at home.

The Fifa World Cup is certainly major global sport event but over here it is looking more like a license to steal. A 20-mile bus ride from Providence RI to Foxboro is $95. A normal day $13 dollar trip from NYC’s Penn Station to NJ’s Met field is $90 by train. And that is before you buy food and souvenirs at gold plated prices. And of course tickets are available for regular fans at reasonable prices.

It's nice to have the warm weather back except when supermarket shopping and seeing people who ate too much over teh winter oozing out of tank tops.

But sports is big business now even starting at grammar school levels with training programs to help the little children make the big Bucks in College. Or, is that now in High School? Who needs a 401K when you have talented kids. 401Kids.

BTW Iran has certainly lost favor with their Islam brotherhood after retaliatory bombings of Arab nations. It seems now that all of the opil Producing meddle east states have lined up against Iran. That may change their negotiating position.

Rockefeller probably saved the whales from extinction. His Standard Oil Monopoly in Kerosene production in the late 1800’s reduced the price of that basic lighting source to the extent where everybody could afford to spurn sperm whale oil. Willie swims again.

I don't think the GOP strategists were looking for a war against the Pope going into the 2026 key elections. Speaker Johnson was heard mumbling, “What the hell just happened.”

The Answer:

Around here with standard poached eggs and hollandaise sauce we have Lobster Eggs Bendict; Irish Benny (Corned Beef Hash), New England Benny (Corned Beef Hash on grilled cornbread, Farmer’s Benny (Bacon, Sausage Ham Tomato, Potato). And how about these -- , The Smoked Salmon and Caper Hollandaise. Steak with Red Wine hollandaise and Maryland bennies with Crab.

Have a wonderful evening, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!. Root for Jamie Ding.
