Realization.

Today's Tids Issue 6,049

Comes around:

I notice lately that every day feels like the day I want it to be.

Did you know that the chimpanzees of Uganda have been fighting a bloody civil war for ten years. The big question is: Did we learn from them or are they learning from us?

But why speak of war,

When you can write poems

To all those you adore.

Tis always better to feel,

Your happy heart swellin.

Not anger in the cerebellum.

The Question:

Name five common and popular things that were invented in a bar or pub. And “Pick-Up:” lines are not acceptable.

The Headlines:

--Strong Mag 7 Earnings has Three Big Indices Waking in Positive Territory but Nas Fading early while Dow Powers up Further; Renewed AI Enthusiasm Initially Ignited Nasdaq; Rising Oil Prices Still a Concern.

--The GDP Expanded at annualized 2% Rate in First Three Months of 2026; Below 2.2 Hopes but Big Rebound form 2025 Year End 0.5; Much of Growth Attributed to AI Buildout.

--38.5 % of Ownership in New Paramount/Warner Discovery Deal will be Middle Eastern Funds.

--Jerome Powell Says He Will Stay on Fed as Governor After Stepping Down Form Chair; Says He wants to Protect Independence of Central Bank from Political Take Over; Warsh Wins Approval from Senate.

--Gulf Nixes Golf: LIV Golfers Told that Saudi Funding is Officially Coming to an End; Likely That League with Enormous Player Salaries and big Purses Can’t continue.

--Iran Refuses to Give in on Nukes for the Future; Blockade Continues indefinitely.

The aliens surreptitiously invading our human stability may be Artificial Intelligence. I believe that AI is fully capable of learning by itsefl over time. Even at this early stage, there are reports, though isolated, of AI taking over computer systems in companies and institutions. Is the human smart enough to overcome the intense, restless intelligence of a maturing AI. 2030: A Space Odyssey -- w could easily take place in Cyberspace without a human involved.

Regardless of its intelligence, I can see no possible way AI can help my golf game.

Im not sure redrawing congressioanl district is the way a democratic republic shoud work. It's humans getting involved in natural statistics and human involvement is never a great idea when the humans are politicians.

Do you get the impression that Jerome Powell really doesn’t trust Trump very much.

Several of the big LIV stars  DeChambeau, Rahm, Reed – had a chance to come back without strings to the PGA Tour. Only Koepka took it. So now with the apparent demise of LIV golf what are teh options for those with no place to play/ Reed quit LIV earlier and will rejoin the PGA after a year sitting out. Of course, these players made multi-millions so money is not an object any of them, Maybe they’ll run for Congress.

There's a special on local TV here this evening about Catholics coming back to church. This becomes significant as RI is the most Catholic of all states. There is noticeable movement among college students to join the church, most notably from Brown and RISD, The catholic School enrollment has passed 10 k for the first time in years, Mass attendance is rising across the state form Newport and South County ot Providence. Some of the resurgence is due to those isolated in Social Media eager to join in-person communities, something solid and unwavering in an unstable world. There is a desire to revive tradition; to seek a deeper meaning and spiritual permanent belonging. Nationally, we are seeing a rise in religious engagement among younger people. So, this is a good sign for society.

Cycles have occurred throughout history. Pendulums swing. People learn what they miss when they give up too much.

The Answer:

First, you have the Guiness Book of Records. The rest are Southwest Airlines, The Pet Rock, Square Typeface of Credit Card Numbers, The Ironman Triathlon, The US Marine Corps, Shark Week, Buffalo Wings, NASCAR and Public Library; I’ll drink to that.

Have a great last day of April, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y. The flowers come i May.
