Divide starts with “D" and so does disturbing. We pit blue states against red states. And now we have unfriended as a good an international friend as we’ve ever had - Canada. Why must we always dwell on negatives? Why can't we find the good in people and entities. And “D" is for disgusting.
Other than irritation, it was great sports weekend with The Red Sox sweeping, the Pats coming back in the last seconds and a wonderful head-to-head match in the FedEx BMW until Windham Clark steadied and Rory didn't. And a top of the golf cap to Patrick Cantlay who sucked it up and got himself back to his old self.
And, that Indy Car race on the streets of DC seemed to go well, unless you were a tourist.
Did you see where California has stopped negotiations with Paramount to settle their lawsuit over the purchase of Warner Brothers. That’s a big deal especially for Larry Ellison and his sons who have a ton of money on the line. Cal is the lead state in twelve suing to stop the merger, and a lot of people in entertainment and finance are watching it closely.
The trouble with learning from experience is that you never graduate.

Up hear in RI in a town of Narragansett a kid who made big as a wealthy hedgefunder now with a larger than average home on the town beach celebrated his 60th BDay. He brought in Adam Levine and the Maroon Five for music, He built the stage to face the town beach and treated over 10,000 people to a great night of music. And there were no fights, not even a scuffle.
In a local Obit a woman who it appears that with her husband contributed amlot to society wrote, “My long happy marraneg of 60 years was due to the fact that she worked at night and he worked during the day.”
There isa sense among sone PGA golfers that the apparent heavier investments in the tour by Private Equity companies will eliminate the lomg-admired charity aspects of the tour. That raises an additional question. When a PE buys out a strong company in a community, will their bottom-line demands allow room for charitab;e and positive community actions.
But like all things, there are good PEs and, their are bad PEs.

As far as Flock cameras go, I much prefer living in a community without seeing eyes everywhere.
