Chapel on the Hill

Today's Tids Issue 6,133

 Associative disconnects:

As you have probably read by now, Dolly Parton just died at the age of 80. I really don't know much about her except what I read in the papers; hear in her voice, see in her smile. I see she has the respect of all those people in her business. I’ve seen her home and the chapel she built next to it. She was a good person. We probably need a lot more like her. She was always herself.

I think the stock market is as confused about world events as I am. That tells me to be  cautious.

 These days are lazy

 And somewhat hazy,

 But that's just fine

Until it hits my mind.

Is there anything more comforting than long morning shadows across rolling green fields caresssd by deep forests? The due glistening like diamonds.

It seems as though I eat a lot of chicken. It goes well with gravy.

I’ve been eating “Smart Food” popcorn for more than a week now, and the Tids are still the same.

The Question:

What are Dolly Parton’s five greatest hits?

I'm no technical genius, but I find my touch screens don;t appreciate Cheeto dust covered fingers.

Jumping on every fad that comes along probably means you'll have a lot of seldom used expensive equipment in the basement,

Word of the day – Endoginous: This means growing, developing origination g from withinIt is used often in biology and economics.  And in Tids writing.

Theres an interesting conversation going around on whether the Fed understands enough of how their protectectve tactics may affect on AI Financing. Old economic models may be completely obsolete when evaluating this next critical contributor to productivity. Seeing AI as potentially inflationary, will Fed credit tightening kill the innovation before it gets started. 2026 is not 2008 or 1929/

Sometimes, when I am matching socks, I think, "What if these two socks don't even like each other?"

Supporting the arts shouldn't be and isn’t a left or right thing. That's another problem with the current cubbyhole mentality of America

Countries may be learning that they can do business without the dollar as the prime currency.

In the new FedEx Tournament format placing high in the first tournaments plus being at the top in year long points play doesn't buy you anyting in the final at East Lake. #30 has as good av chance as number 1.

This whole Canada mess is nutty. Do you think maybe Canadians will find a way to send in mail ballots?

My closest pals and I played a game of hide and seek. It went on for hours... Well, good friends are hard to find.

Around here girls HS Field Hockey is declining. It's been a great Fall sport forever. But soccer is s eating away at it and it is expected that “Tag Footballwill be dominant in a couple of years. One of the issues, kids just don't learn about field hockey early enough. But real football is all over TV. Tradition doesn’t stand a chance anymore.

Everybody but everybody is getting into Mahjong these days That’s a good way to ruin a good thing.

Reports are showing a dramatic increase in Superamrte food deliveries. It's so forme shoppers can  stay home for mahjong.

All things considered, at least there isnt a subscription cost for Tids.

The Answer:

Jolene comes to everybody's mind. Next is I Will Always Love You, 9 to 5, Here You Come Again and Coat of Many Colors.  I never really liked Jolene. But who am I.
