learn to come in out of the rain.
Some
of the basic things that have disappeared from the national
political scene: Statesmanship, civility, maturity, integrity, understanding,
common good, and most basic of all, truth.
One
of the nicer things going on is the return to
sanity in the retail arena – that is the closing of stores on Thanksgiving Day.
Employers are saying employees and customers should be home with facilities on this
day of thanks, Over five dozen companies have announced the closing,
The
third iteration of the movie “A Star is Born” is getting lots
of “Likes”, and in this case the film featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper
may just live up to all the hype.

I
may have to go to the dark web to find my Facebook Log
in info, as I haven’t used it in over ten years.
The
Voice was quite enjoyable last night with several very
listenable performances. My favorites were real good ole’ country boy Dave
Finley and Audri Bartholomew. I also enjoyed the country girl and yodeler
Rachel Messer and the folk singer Anthony Arya, mainly because I like yodelers
and folksingers. Peppy 16 year old Chevel Shepherd was also very entertaining
with good natural talent who could grow easily into a competitor. I was surprised
the wedding band singer got a nod, but many of the others were at least
enjoyable last night. I don’t know if they are considered good singers or not
by music pros, but when they make me smile they seem real good to me. In a
small poll, three of nine stood out among voting fans – Dave Finley (36.2%),
Kimberli Joye (27.6%) and Rachel Messer (15.2%). Does Dave rhyme with “Fave”?
No
matter how hard The Voice tries to diversify, the
country singers always come out the strongest.
I
woke up this morning and decided that I’m not a teenager any
more. It’s about time.
BTW,
I wrote that Tidlet above about what has disappeared in US
politics, after observing RI’s own Petulant, Partisan Puppet Senator
Whitehouse.
I
am continually amazed about how young and energetic old
people look today. I would figure though that young people would think that old
people look, basically…old. Young people don’t give an inch.
As
far as I’m concerned, if there weren’t mirrors or cameras, I
wouldn’t look old at all.
My
dad died when we couldn’t remember his blood type. As he
died he kept on insisting for us to be positive, but it is hard without him.
Penn
State lost to Ohio State 27-26, but Penn State slipped in
the polls and OSU went up to #3. I’ll never understand polling.
I
really don’t believe Kavanaugh hating is a party thing. It
is an ideology thing. I can’t believe that every Democrat in this great country
of ours is against constitutional originalism.
The
Answer:
Major John Andre was the man who got the plans, and
he was eventually hanged in what is now Westchester County NY. Bonus: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper,
and others will try to improve upon the performances of the William Wellman
directed 1937 A Star is Born actors Janet Gaynor, Frederick March, Adolph
Menjou and Andy Devine among others. Note that some of the writers for this
film were David O. Selznick, Ring Lardner, Budd Schulberg and Adele Rogers
Saint Johns. In 1976 ASIB II starred Barbara Streisand, Kris Kristofferson,
Gary Busy and a couple of pop singers Rita Coolidge and Tony Orlando.
The
force of contemporary, suffocating mass communication is
making people believe in stuff that would never have ever entered their mind.
Not
much
of a Tids today, but, I like the title.
I
feel like being inert to day.
