Dreamy.

Today's Tids Issue 4,531
Slowing Down:

I was standing on a hillside this morning, a beautiful day beginning. I was looking at three trees, lime green, bushy junipers perfectly placed between a copse of deep green pines; pondering. Did God come down and paint them just so for Thanksgiving Day? They were just too perfect, specially placed. They stood magnificently in the foreground of the marsh beyond, where Zeke’s Creek flows, and hillsides rise. Hay bales dot the green pasture above; framing Belted Garraway cows, contented, head bowed. I contemplated the stonewalled scene. The comfortable grazing cows were probably happy they weren’t turkeys.

I have always enjoyed watching a happy herd of cows munching grass.

This year, Thanksgiving looks more like an interruption to never ceasing Christmas advertising, instead of the most perfect holiday of them all.

The judicial ruling yesterday that ordered former White House Legal counselor to testify, could be that surprise element that opens the door to the White House secrets. And, they don’t have Rosemary Wood to erase any of it.

A good reader writes to remind us: “Don’t forget to turn your bathroom scales back 15 pounds Wednesday Night at 1 AM for Thanksgiving.

The Question:
What is generally considered the must have T-Day menu?

Remember when there were Christmas Clubs? When people saved to buy presents.

On The Voice last knight Katie Kadan showed why she is probably the leader in the clubhouse. She has quite the amazing voice – whether controlled or raucous. Although Last might I felt she got a little over the top. The others last north who were probably the best were Rose Short, Ricky Duran, Will Breman, Kat Hammock, Jake Hoot and Happy Sunday. I also thought Miracle Holloway was strong. Marybeth Byrd, who is a good singer, didn’t rise up last night.  The top ranked iTunes sales were Katie # 16, Hoot 29, Kat 40, Duran 89 and Will 97. The bottom three will probably be Shane Q, Joana Martinez and for some odd reason, Miracle.

We used to have Black Friday. Now we have Black seven days of the week, and even Black Months. Christmas is out of control.

Yesterday I really blew it on my comment about Brendan Todd being the next PGA Whiz kid. First I made the Freudian typo writing his name Tidd! And then I learned that he is not young at all, but an old boyhood pal of Webb Simpson with whom he played competitively in his younger days. Yes, this leader in FedEx points is an old guy finally waking up to his talent.

The movement from fossil fuels to barter propulsion has created a highly charged environment.

Eliz Warren is basically, quite simply, an academic, big government socialist. The programs she is spouting in speeches would add 20 new agencies to the bloated bureaucracy. Crazy.

The Answer:
Here’s what the majority want for T-Day meals: #1 is Turkey followed by Stuffing and then Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Corn, Green Bean Casserole, Candied Yams, Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie. And, wine. How about a big all chocolate turkey for nibbling?

This is a great week to turn off the sound and feel the beauty of the world though your eyes.
