Budgetary Illusionism:
There is a big difference between an edible croissant and a good croissant.
Covid infections have plateaued at levels that were considered alarming last summer. Everything about numbers is relative. And often used and abused.
Of course, what’s also alarming is the number of small businesses trying to stay alive. I’d rather have small businesses s thriving on their own as opposed to them being indebted to Big Brother
With the rise of self-driving vehicles, it’s only a matter of time before we get a country song where a guy’s truck leaves him too.
The Question:
Name ten different kinds of lettuce.

2+2 = 7. Politicians always “forget” the interest they have to add to the money requested when they tell the folks the cost of their programs.
I was getting a little concerned when I couldn’t hear the TV commercial for “Miracle Ear”. Then I realized I had hit the mute button. Isn’t it interesting how little mistakes can lead to medical angst?
I think Cuomo’s coverup of the nursing home’s death count has far greater implications of serious wrong doing by the NY Gov than the sex accusations. Not to minimize the grievous abuse of the assaulted women. A woman’s right to her control is sacred.
SPAC (Special Purpose Acquisition Companies – Or “Blank Check” companies) are formed to raise cash to buy other companies. At the time of thier formations they have no existing business or even stated targets for acquisition. In two years SPACs could accumulate $700 Billion in purchasing power. 12 new SPACs came on board just yesterday. Thee investment in these mushroom companies has “Micro Bubble” written all over it. But with all of that serious real money available whether from the general public or well-known private equity funds, the reality is that the valuations of potential takeover companies will be growing. The ensuing rash of IPO’s with SPAC financing could drive the markets higher. By the way, SPACs aren’t necessarily the wild, wild west, are under strict regularity practices.
Cuomo is probably relying on the old, well-known Bill Clinton strategy – “Deny, deny, deny until the media gets tired of the story.” And, if you are a Dem, they get tired faster.
Whatever you are doing, always give 100%, unless you are donating blood.
The Answer:

Mathematics is an indisputable science util it is in the hands of politicians. Then it’s citizens beware.
