Beyond the sandy shores.

Today's Tids Issue 5,715

The Horror so Deep:

Never forget all of the Auschwitz and always beware of the evil in men's hearts that begot them.

Close your eyes and hold your breath, we are in for a wild ride on Wall Street today. Artificial Intelligence stock prices are artificially high. Nasdaq futures were as high as I had ever seen them near down 800. And as I type the current number is in near disasterville at over 550.  The problem is Nvidia is now looking way over valued because of a new global AI darlingChinas DeepSeek. This is an AI company has proven it can use cheaper chips and less data and perform equally well. That concern dramatically changes the profit outlook for Nvidia and others that have enjoyed the AI Ride – ASML, Arm, Broadcom and Micron Technology. The big techs from Tesla to Apple and those in-betweens are falling too as an AI future clouds. So, we have ot suck it up and wait to see how the mag 7 perform this earnings week. But it feels like there will be a lot of mindless selling. And that is never good for boring stockowners like me.

There has to be something funnier than that to start the Tids t a on a Monday morning

When Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb, he had trouble selling it. People just didn't trust this "new" way of making light. In order to promote his idea he decided to go around the country installing lights in different towns in order to drum up publicity. While in Oklahoma, Edison stopped by an Indian reservation and offered to put lights in any building they wanted. After much thought the Indian chief decided that he wanted lights in his outhouse, so he could see what he was doing at night. This made him the first man to wire a head for a reservation!

Is there a better feeling than getting the final Jeopardy answer when the three brainy contestants dont?

My sense tells me that Hamas released the best healthiest appearing hostages first. This allowed them to receive in return the hundreds of their own soldiers before doubt sets in.

The Question:

What was the first State chartered University in America?

Most of the chefs lauded as the greatest now adays have earned their respect among the gourmet elite but making formerly tasty dishes more complex.

I was in a restaurant the other day and was interested how the menu that offered a BLT with Turkey or Avocado options. But the B stands for Bacon, right. How can it be a BLT without bacon. Its part of this new society readapting good old traditions and romanticizing them out of context, A martini is gin, vermouth and Olives. How suddenly is anything using clear booze a martini? If we let all our tradition be usurped by the unknowledgeable will we have anything in the future. Lie Congress being the check for the Executive branch.

Some people who enjoy complaining will always find something to complain about.

Like me who still rues the day when they got rid of paper maps. I'm a macro guy and it bothers me when I'm being led by a bodyless voice on the GPS system with micro vision

I think Buffalo missed several opportunities yesterday though repetitions play calling. It was great game though. The Commanders had a chnance but the fumbles killed them. QB Danials is the real thing. But Philly caused the fumbles using a strategy that tends to produce fumbles. It wasn’t luck. It should be a good super Bowl.

Trump is touting polices that tend to isolate America so to fulfill MAGA. But this morning it is quite obvious that Wall Street operates in a global economy. And today China technology is governing the flow of CaptialCommunicatons has made the globe one financial nation

To some people listening to music isn't considered doing anything. I think it is time well spent enriching your soul.

Speaking about doing something, Jannik Sinner is the for real. He looks like the champ of the future now and for a long time to come. Right now, Zereve and Alcaraz are his big rivels and will make tournaments interesting, but he just seems a shoulder above them.

To me, there is something Bleak about that black “X” logo for a social network that use have as a symbol the Bluebird. A black threatening X” versus Bluebird singing? Word has it that the banks that Funded Musks purchase of Twitter want to sell their bonds for 95 cents on the dollar just to get out of it with minimal losses

The Answer:

In 1785, the Georgia State legislature authorized the creation of the University of Georgia in Athens. That makes the 14th UGA the oldest. The University of Delaware is the fifth oldest but it is privately run with assistance from the state. Rutgers which is number ten is the State university of New Jesey was founded by the Dutch reformed Chruch. The five oldest are Harvard, William and Mary, Yale, Pennsylvania and Delaware. UPenn is one of the nine colleges chartered before the Declaration of Independence.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. Never forget. I implore us all to never forget.

Enjoy a good week, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
