Where did my muse go.

Today's Tids Issue 5706

Chuckling:

I like a stone wall.

Set, sturdy in quiet fields.

In shadowy forests.

Facing the ravages of hot and cold.

Yet somehow,

It holds together

Solid, amidst day-lilies of June.

Like life.

It goes on.

And we find flowers.

So, Congress ordered Flags to fly high for the Trump inauguration, now currently at half-mast for Jimmy. Politics overrides reality. I would have done it differently.

The Question:

There have been 6 Separate Countries within the USA, four of them now sates. And two others within states. Name the Six

The Headlines:

--CPI Comes in Cooler that Excepted and Markets Soar Early.

--FDA Announces Ban on Red Dye #3.

--Dems Still Dead Set against Hegseth, but he appears to have Overcome Hurdles to Approval.

--SEC Sues Musk for Allegedly Misleading Investors in Hos Purchase of Twitter.

--China's XI reiterates Country's Position on Ukraine centered Around Negotiating and Promoting Peaceful Solution's; He adds that Beijing and Brussels (European Council) “Do Not have Fundamental Conflicts of Interest or Geopolitical Contradictions. The Chinese side Trusts the EU...”.

--LA Area Warnings Up as Winds Expected to Kick up to 70-80 Mph Today.

I think the greatest thing I have learned in life is that everybody doesn't think like me. I think that's a good thing to understand. It's too bad they are always wrong.

The horrible Fires in LA may have Angelinos looking somewhere beyond their local and state government for salvation, like perhaps Trump's White House. Tragedies can have odd consequences.

Hmmm. The FDA just announced a ban on Red Dye #3. Cheetos are orange so I'm OK.

Holy juice Batman – it now appears that the energy source that will power and grow AI will come from good ole’ LNG. Yes, the clean old standby is poised, and the new Admin will make it available.

With the advent of mysterious drones our Tids Punster Laureate tells me he will be getting a government mandated vaccine against UFO - is that Unknown Fungi Organisms?

Myopic Hollywood is all over Carrie Underwood for electing to perform at the Trump Inauguration celebrations. Yes, the Me People clique is the only community formally closed to DEI for all.

BTW, completely useless TV to me are celebrity and athlete interviews. Celebrities act and Athletes have nothing to say.

But I am really happy for Kate Middelton. There is something special about her. That said, I have to add that I am equally happy for every single human being who beats cancer. The celebrity doesn’t count when everybody is the same fighting this menace.

I think I'll go down and look at a quiet harbor today. Icy waters, calming silence of ripples against pilings; whiffs of salt in the air.

A couple of years ago I enjoyed the Netflix spy thriller Night Agent. In fact, I hated to see it end. But now I hear it must not have ended all and there will be a second season beginning on a pleasant day called January 23.

How interesting is it that the Trump inauguration is on Martin Luther King Day. Somebody is going to be upset.

The Answer:

Vermont was a Republic from 1777 to 1791, choosing not to become part of New York or Mass or New Hampshire. There was the Hawaii Kingdom and Texas. California Seceded from Mexico when frustrated by that government. There was a republic Called West Florida which was mainly in what is now Louisiana. The last one is called The Republic of Indian Stream which was a small area at the headlands of the Connecticut River separating New Hampshire from Quebec. It became what is now Pittsburg New Hampshire.

I shoulda bin funnier today.
