Founding a way

Today's Tids Issue 5,698

Down with Ballyhooism:

I was thinking last night, how do you know when bleu cheese goes bad?

The nation is treating the death of Jimmy Carter nicely. Which is apropos.

The Right is upset with many of Biden’s "Presidential Medal of Freedom” Awards. The left will be equally upset with many of Trump's awards. The good news is that a lot of Americans whether we like them or not, will be acknowledged for service and contributions to the fabric of the great country even though the awards can be politically motivated. And that is what America is all about.

Well, maybe not George Soros.

Weirdness, Department:

Kamala is in congress today to certify Trumps victory. But that is what America is all about, isn’t it?

Entering 2025, remember stocks are high priced. And there are no digital coupon programs.

Washington and Jefferson had widely differing opinions as did many of the Founding Fathers, but Constitution came out for all.

The Question:

Yesterday Aaron Rogers became the fifth QB in NFL history to throw 500 TD passes. Who are the other four?

Did you know that Tesla and Einstein were not friendly at all though Einstein was nicer about it. Based on what I read, it appears that Nicola thought he was the smartest guy in the room and the acute expansive intelligence of Albert got in the way, And Tesla wasn't pleasant about it. To Einstein, Tesla was smart and did nice practical engineering things. But America benefited from both of their diverse outlooks.

Speaking of energy, climate obsessed European governments are generally honest about solar and wind energy costs and raise electricity prices accordingly, making consumers bear the weight of green energy policies directly. In the US, by contrast, consumers pay for solar and wind costs indirectly – though tax deductions and subsidies. Solar and wind credits cost our government more than $20 Billion. Add to that, subsidies from the states and the ruse goes on.

What this all boils down to is that Green businesses in themselves are a bad business model.

Miss America was crowned last night in the annual pageant that used to be a highlight of weekend TV watching. And last night nobody knew it was on except her family.

I read the results of the Golden Globes this morning and I barely know any of the winners, so I feel nothing from the gushing and the glitz. But I have an interested in starting to watch Slow Horses because the story seems interesting.. I tried La Palma which looked like a decent catastrophe yarn, but it is about as woke as woke can be. And simplistic too.

While Trump is in office expect the Left to use movies and Entertianment as their political soapbox.

The representative was very good at cartwheeling? He was a spokesman.

Goldman Sachs says for 2025, overweight these sectors – Materials, Software and Services, Health Care, Utilities, Real Estate. What could possibly go wrong.

I don't choose movies to see great acting performances, due to critical acclaim or because of some social message. Is choose by interest in storyline. If l like the story, then I will enjoy the movie or TV series. Most acting is pretty decent.

The Answer:

The top four are Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (528) and Brett Favre (508). Next in the 400’s is Phillip Rivers at 421.

Hey, be careful. Don't slip on the ice.  See you all tomorrow!!

Hey, nobody attacked the capitol today!!
