Today's Tids Issue 5,841
Slowing:
I’d have to say the vast majority of Americans are focused on what they are going to do for the next four or five days.
In my estimation, a perfect day for golf is he generally not a perfect day for the beach people.
Do you think maybe some Repub House members are playing hardball with their vote after seeing what Barbara Mikulski got for Alaska after moving away from a No?
The Question:
The impressive cruise ship Queen Mary 2 is in Newport Harbor today. It looms up nicely, and mammoth glamour ships grow larger, Mary2 and retains that demeanor of something regal at sea. Name four of the famous Cunard ships.

Two guys walk into a bar. The third guy ducks
Everyday it seems, Trump or his admin says something I disagree with.
Is Congress going to get the massive bill right or are they just going to find a compromise to meet an arbitrary deadline.
The new BBB maybe the biggest deterrent to chaotic illegal Immigration. It appears the bill will eliminate benefits like food and housing provisions and health insurance for all immigrants including refugees, victims of violence and asylum seekers. In other words, the golden light bulb is flickering for those looking over from afar.
I've been told I’m naive but I w always felt that the USA stood for a high degree of kindness.
Meanwhile NBA players are routinely signing contracts for $30, 40 50 million per year. Charities should not be struggling. And NBA stars who just happen to be in the news this week are just the tip of the iceberg of high-income earners with plenty of disposable cash laying around. And the last thing we want is to force high income earners to hand it over to the government
I was going to write a simple Tids today. And then the problem arises, i start reading.
I believe strongly in the need for a strong honest press who can make leaders think twice about being incoherent. But the press loses integrity either through explosive fact fabrication or exuberant cheerleading. I tend to use BBC a lot because they seem more factual, But, who knows, I guess I'll be paying tariffs for that in the future. Be prepared for a Tids rate increase.
After the admin deports the NYC Mayor nominee in a test case, the next major deportee could be Elon Musk. How weird is the USA Getting anyhow.
I'm shaking my head so hard in dismay at political utterances these days I'm beginning to hear things rattle in there.
The Answer:
Of course, the Predecessors to QM 2 I always remember were the impressive standard setters, original Queens Mary and Elizabeth. They also have currently in service Queen Victoria, Queen Anne plus a new Queen Eliabeth. Some iconic ships in addition to the two Queens were the Mauretania, ill-fated Lusitania, Aquitania, Carpathia, SS Rotterdam and the Andrea Dorea. The AD gained TV fame as Americans watched an amazing rescue operaion of 1460 before it sank 50 miles south of Nantucket. Nearly 50 were killed when the Ship collided with Sweden's SS Stockholm.
Happy getting ready for the big weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
