Words Passing by.

Today's Tids Issue 5,849

Remember the Sound:

Will ideas ever stop?

For as long as humans live

There will always be somebody

Who will dare to exclaim:

Why not!

How about them Red Sox. I just had to say that. When your beloveds do well it makes you feel good. They are now with a 10 in a row streak, and they are fun team to watch, but they could also be buried deep into the dark corners of the cellar by mid-August. Red Sox fans like to cry a lot.

Sir Edward Elgar’s Symphony #2 had me smiling Saturday morning. It is pleasantly soft and melodic

The Question:

Ok, here's a question that will always bring controversy. Who are the greatest college football coaches of all time?

The Headlines:

--Posible Turbulent Stock Market Ahead. -Ramped up Tariff inconsistencies Beginning of Q2 Earnings with Most Big Banks on tap for Tuesday; WS also Holding Breath as Key June CPI Inflation Number Out This Week; Markets Today Finish Meh.

--Trump Threatens Really Big 100% Tariffs on Russia If they don’t Get Back to the Peace Table.

--Sinner and Swiatek Men’s and Women's Winners at Wimbledon. Sinner took Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Iga took American Anisimova 6-0, 6-0.

--India Orders Checks on Fuel Switches on Boeing Jets; Boeing Says Its Switches are OK.

--Fire at Fall River Mass Assisted Living Home Kills at Least Nine, Injures Thirty

--NYC Mayor Race: Cuomo Announces Third Party Run Against Socialist Mamdani.

If Spanish super tennis player Carlos Alcaraz wore Lacoste sports ware, would he be called Alligator Alcaraz.

Why are UK Men’s clubs called controversial because they keep women out?

I like minimalist music, and I like the way John Adans adds symphonic flourishes to it.

I would be a bad inventor because I would say, who needs that.

Trump’s 100% tariff threat would double the cost ofgoods from Russia. Do we actually but anything from Russia?

Most of these Tariff threats are laughable.

Going to the beach doesn’t look like fun to me anymore.

Do you think that people are becoming repetitive? I'm not talking about nice conversations with witty friends or even dour friends. I'm talking about the  big public discussion in the sky. Everything is predictable... every announcement every, reaction, every reputtel every protest, every solution. The ingredient most conversations seem to miss is collaborating and understanding.

Apple shareholders seem to be true loyalists. But the company needs a fix. There are no iconic iPhones or iPads just around the corner. They are in the AI business whether they like it or not. And their results in development there are not whiz bang, yet. Watch Apple's AI Moves.

If they built one of those massive new data centers in RI, nobody could afford the data. Joe Legislature’s Bro-in-law's solar farm onthe roof just isn't going to do it.

The Answer:

Number One is Nick Saban followed by Bear Bryant, Knute Rockne, Vince Lombardi, Lou Holts, Tom Osborne, Bo Schembechler, Woody Hayes, Bobby Bowden, Joe Paterno, Pop Warner, Kirby Smart, Steve Spurrier, John Heisman, Bill Snyder, Bud Wilkenson, Urban Meyer, Jimmy Johnson, Gene Stallings, Bill Walsh, Ara Parseghian, Dabo Swinny, Frank Beamer, Barry Switzer and Johnny Majors completes the twenty-five. I always thought Frank Lahey was one of the top coaches, but he is #36. Two historic names, Walter Camp and Amos Alonzo Stagg, are now way down to 40 and 41.

I truly love the overcast moderately cool weather.

A little misty. A pleasantly soft day.

Here’s Errol who made misty dance. You know Errol just made it up as he felt it.
