Brexit II

Today's Tids Issue 3,724
For Repubs:

Donald Trump came on stage last night and said all of the exactly right things. About his opponent, about himself as servant of the people, about the need for unity, about always being fair when dealing with foreign nations, about rebuilding inner cities, about fighting for all of those lost in our elite societies, those who have been forgotten. He probably has learned a lot traveling the expanse of the USA, into small towns, once robust industrial centers now in decay. He saw an American well beyond that of the New York Times and the statistics. He saw all of the “Tremendous” people beyond the Hudson river. Now he has to govern, and he has the Congress to help him realize his promises, the dreams he drew for others. Now, the work begins. No excuses.

So, which media member do you think Trump will allow in the White House? I think we’ll be hearing mea culpas from many of the opportunistic media. In fact, late last night Anderson Cooper was heard extolling the virtues of the New President Elect.

Intolerant Libs will be unable to acquiesce. In fact, you may have heard that the Canada Immigration Web Site crashed last night.

Michael Bloomberg is probably thinking, maybe I should have run!

Last night at about 9:00 after dial turning to get all of the viewpoints, I went to bed with a headache from the analyst’s constant harangues on what-if scenarios. When I awoke this morn to the improbable victory I realized the headache came from pro Hillary analysts who early in the evening could see want we couldn’t, a victory for Trump. They kept jabbering at an ever increasingly pace apparently hoping that if they talked fast and long enough the bad numbers would go away. I remember particularly watching John King, and Wolfe Blitzer. John King knew, and Wolfe kept hoping he was wrong, asking question after question in his quest to find a flaw in the King analysis. It was sad.

I wish there was something else to write about this morning. I’m getting bored with this

The Question:
Who was the last President with no political experience?

The Headlines:
--Trump Is New President Elect.
--Repubs Hold Majority In House And Senate.
--World Shocked By Trump Stunning Upset Victory; Some Nations In Placid Acceptance, Others Angry.
--Obama White House Not Ready For Trump Victory; Expected That Staff Will Work Overtime To Nail Down “O” Programs; Barak And Michelle To Meet Donald And Malena In White House Tomorrow.
--Stock Markets Slightly Lower But Still Assessing Significance Of Trump Victory.
--Shaken Yale Students Allowed To Skip Exam!

Just in case any of you are Repubs, not gloating is a really good idea.

Kelley Ann Conway is the new political star.

By the way, I read a lot of crazy tweets from various celebs who are really, really angry and in denial. It’s probably because their bigger than Donald egos won’t let them believe that their support of the Hill didn’t produce results.

One political commentator wonders if they will now have to reassess the effects of money on campaigns. Trump spent way less than Hillary and all of the recent campaigns. And he actually did not have money from special interests. So the first reality of this electionis that he truly may not be beholdin’ to anybody

I think that God may have gotten it wrong too. This morning I awoke to an eerie Pink sky.

The real problem in the country is that too many people have too much invested in their power bases, and many of them are based solely on only being against something. You can cry for understanding and unity, but there are factions that will never listen.

Every once in a while, I look over the World tennis rankings to see who is on top, and almost all of the time lately I don’t recognize a name. I think the solution to bringing back tennis to its former heights in popularity is shorter names.

The left is already saying the reason that Trump won is Racism.

Do you think that now that Trump is President elect that Spell-Check will finally signal me to use a capital “T”? See, even Spell-Check was against him. It really didn’t matter though, because deplorables can’t spell, or write.

So much for unity and getting together: Slate magazine has already put out this headline: “The Donald Trump Who Won This Campaign Is Even Scarier Than The One Who Began It” Remember when Dems Implored, “Give Obama a Chance?”

One of the Big referendums on the Rhode island ballot asked if RI’ers wanted an ethics commission. Yes, that’s true folks. We had to vote on whether we want ethics in our state legislature. The figures show that a lot of people voted against it. The town with the highest anti-ethics vote was in the town of Johnston. How funny is that. “Hey man, ethics will kill the family business>”

The Answer:
“I Like Ike” was the slogan for the last President with no previous political experience. Unfortunately there are already protestors marching in Berkeley probably with a slogan like, “Let’s Bump Trump.” It alwsys gets ugly when liberals are mad. But, I like to listen to them and their irrational excuses and surreal theories. Liberals make me laugh.

See you tomorrow with a clean, politics free slate. Oops, did I say Slate?

Love the results, or hate the results, everybody has to admit that yesterday was one f---ing unusual election day!
