For Empty Spaces:
I
was in that perfect place his morning. I’ve written about it before,
the rolling fields and meandering creeks through marshes; slowly wending down
to the sea; and the colonial windmill standing tall, So, I won’t bore you again.
What made it so special this morning was the clarity of the air, just the right
amount of chill -- and the quiet. The magnificent still; without news, and
people not listening. No remnants of the anger. A place where animals scurried
to prepare for their winter’s nap. And flowers looked up to the sun for one
more day on the natures stage. There were no people hurrying; Just three
friends.
You
may have missed the big local story here about the guy who
tried to burn down his girlfriend’s house -- using Cheetos as an accelerant!
Yes, you read they right. So, if you’re ever standing around watching a big
fire, make sure you don’t have an empty Cheeto bag in your pocket. “Yeah Chief,
we let the guy with the AK 47 go, but we nabbed the Cheeto guy!”

Question:
Rotten Tomatoes list the best movies of 1916. Think
back and see if you can name the Top 5.

Isn’t
it interesting that now that Trump is going to be
President, Democrats are all of a sudden for states and local rights over big
government? American hypocrisy marches forward.
It’s
nice that sound engineers are making creative advancements, but they often over do it in
movies just because they can.
I
don’t listen to Meghan Kelley Much anymore. She sounds too
hysterical. I don’t listen to Sean Hannity for the same reason, just in case
some feminist group would accuse me of propagating stereotypes.
This
morning I heard a leader of the Local Black Lives Matter
going after the USA Mayors protecting illegal immigrants. While generally
against Trump, he agrees with the need to end people sneaking in, and taking
jobs. BTW, last night at restaurant when an order came out wrong, our black
waitress said, “Those Mexicans in the kitchen can’t read!” Just as I have
written, you can hyphenate Americans because they are their own selves.
Lots
of people of varied demographic descriptions are loving the
new TV show “This is Us”. So far I haven’t been drawn in, but THEN I can be
your basic Klutz at times.
Personally,
I’m thinking that Obama is running for Global Emperor.
I
just saw a small survey where people were asked to
choose between freedom or security. Freedom won 2-1.
As
you all are quite aware, the big game that the government
plays is taking your money in taxes and then giving it back with magnanimous
fanfare…loaded with strings attached. You can have your money back but you got
to do this to get it. It’s downright criminal. You may get security with big government
programs, but you invariably trade away your freedoms.
America
seems to suffer when Obama speaks on foreign shores.

Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--I’ll kick is off with Bleed for Tids mainly
because it is a about a Rhode Island Guy, and is made in RI. And te story abut
a boxer coming back from a horrendous injury is told very well with good acting
by Miles Teller as Vinnie, “The Pazmanian Devil” Pazienza. Vinnie is also a wild
character, so there is a lot of humor and craziness to go along with the drama
of courage. It’s probably a B-, unless of course you are from RI.
--Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a
decent movie which I may see out of curiosity. It is a spinoff from JK Rowling.
--Experts are Calling One The Edge Of Seventeen an
Instant teen Classic. It is described as a ”Candid, often hilarious look of what
it s like to grow up as a young woman in
today’s modern world”. Her first sense of adult reality is when her star
athlete brother starts dating her best friend, and friendship becomes a
challenge. Excellent performance by Hailee Steinfeld as the lead and Haley Lu
Richardson as the best friend.
The

or High Water, The Jungle Book, Love & Friendship and Finding Dory. The
next five are Moonlight, Hunt For the Wilderpeople, Kubo and the Two Strings,
