Caring for Others:
Some
of these national news exploited gatherings don’t do much
for me. But, I have to say that I stopped for a moment to think about Kendrick
Costello, the incredible courageous young man from Colorado’s Highlands Ranch
STEM School. This 18-year-old kid with a beautiful life ahead, who saw his classmates
in danger, didn’t seem to think twice about rushing into the face of a weapon to
save many from the ravages of a mad shooter. There are many stories every day,
but none quite measure up to Kendrick.
The
hawks were gliding high in windy skies yesterday,
swooping to pick out little denizens of the woods scurrying to find food and
build retreats for the hot summer days ahead. The Hawk. Peaceful appearing and
soaring above like a sugary worded politician looking for the kill. Don’t be
mesmerized by the appearance of magnificence.
This
idea of inclusion and rewarding all regardless of competence
may have reached it’s a dangerous new low point. It appears, based on testimony
about recent air tragedies, that airframe manufacturers build planes and controls
to meet the needs of lowest common denominator…pilots. Lowest common
denominator pilots! Yikes! I think raising standards for all pilots is a much better
objective for all of mankind. And that lowest common denominator pilots should be
banned.

In
this new world of rampant hearsay and opinion, all
journalists, even this Tids thing, must be on qui vive to resist the tempting morsels
of unsubstantiated but delicious sounding gossip or innuendo floating about the
world wide web, lest all credibility disappears.
Character's
in movies have scriptwriters to solve dilemmas. In life, answers don’t come
that easily, nor the ability to correct them.
If
you find yourself someday being attacked by a mob of clowns,
go for the juggler. Thanks to a punny reader.
“Scrolliosis”:
The result of spending too much time hunched over a computer keyboard.
The
Steak and Shake Company after a surprising massive Q1 loss
of $19 Mill that caused shuttering of stores, says that can save One Million by
removing the signature cherry form the shakes. That’s like GE saying we will no
longer put our logo on our products. Life is not a bowl of cherries.
Promise:
I will no longer succumb to the daily barrage of news stories about AOC. She has
become the most famous politician who has never done anything but disrupt. Unless…it
is really, really funny.
Bride
Magazine is the latest to go all digital. It joins Glamour, Vogue
Teen and Redbook among many, and many more to come who are finding that more people
have stopped flipping to begin clicking to read. Newspapers will go the same
way. So any time you want to question changes that are clearly written on the wall,
think about what is happening daily. And that technology is still in its infancy. It pains to lose the past, but face it. Life is
in a hurry.
You
hear of all the people who want somebody else to help
them get along. And then you find so many others who just go out there and do it.

Answer:
John Muir a cerebral man from Scotland saw beauty in
the lands of the west and fought for the preservation that gave us Yosemite and
Sequoia, and most importantly, a national sense of conserving intrinsic beauty.
With Professor Henry Senger, he was the co-founder
of the Sierra Club.
I
can be cynical. I can be a skeptic. But, I can see. The heroism
of Kendrick Castillo is the real deal. God bless him.
