Good Day, Bad Market, but we'll survive.
The
pink and deep red blossoms looked glorious today. The lime hue
of trees took my breath away. Today make the heart aches and life challenges
seem pretty damn unimportant. Procrastination is a wonderful thing especially when
hypnotized by the glories of, finally, spring. Tra-la!
After
the derby mess, a lot would agree that instant replay is
ruining sports. It takes the human element out of the game. Fans can’t yell “Kill
the Umpire” any longer. It adds lots of dull down-time to events to join with commercial
breaks to make games even longer and longer. Sports event announcers talk way
too much about replay calls. I mean until my head hurts. Now, I have to say that
without instant replay the NE Patriots wouldn’t have one that first Super Bowl.
And according to the rules I’m hearing that the Derby decision was probably correct.
But, I still enjoyed it more when the umps and refs called the came without people
looking over their shoulders.
Congress
is playing games with Trump, and Trump is playing games
with China, A everybody in Washington is always gaming the media.
I
personally really like the flavor of chicken. Why do so
many chefs overwhelm it with spices, sauces and lately vegetables in all
possible forms.
Today
I spotted an albino dalmatian, Now it will look like a
dalmatian.
Think
about it.

Merriam-Webster:
Sport – “Physical activity engaged in for pleasure.” How come so many people now-a-days
take it so seriously? Because Nike tells them too?
Some
readers have requested that the Tids Sports Department (TSD)
begin a Golf Tip Section. Tip One: If you play with me, don’t emulate my swing.
Tip 2: Pay attention: A wondering mind, no matter how beautiful the scenery may
be , no matter how it may stimulate your romantic spirit, the ball is the thing,
the only lover that counts. So, stay with it.
The
Voice last night wasn’t bad. It became very obvious
that Maelyn Jarmon is stepping up into her own class. She was spellbinding,
brilliant. There were several decent singers in the R&B genre -- Mari, Shawn
Sounds, Jej Vinson and LB Crew all quite talented, but I wonder if they cancel each
other out in the voting, Sounds is probably in as is perhaps is Mari. Similarly,
in Country, generally my favorite, we have many – Gyth Rigdon, Andrew Sevener, Dexter
Roberts, Rod Stokes and Carter Lloyd Home. I like Andrew a lot, but he wasn’t that
great last night. Gyth was terrific, but not his usual outstanding. Dexter stepped
up, and Rod has been stepping up all season, putting him contention to place
second after Maelyn. Carter has a huge fan base, and may also be factor in the finals.
I think he is just ok. Personally, I enjoy Celia Babini a lot. I think she is
on the bubble, unfortunately. Kim Cherry also makes me smile and, as does Celia,
has great report with the audience. Another on the bubble Oliv Blu, was pretty
to good to me. But she may not make it. The top 8 after tonight will be Maelyn,
Carter, Shawn, Rod and then it’s between Andrew, Dexter, Mari, Kim and Celia.
Maybe LB. But, never ever discount the country vote.
Maelyn
was #10 in iTunes sales last night. Gyth was second among Voice
singers at 54. The rest in the top hundred were Shawn #58, and Stokes #93. Country
singers Andrew, Carter and Dexter also made it into the top 200. Other than an old
song by Maelyn, nobody else did.
What’s
with Jeff Glor being ousted at CBS? Was he too fair-minded?
Personally, I liked him. Somebody didn’t, or somebody had an agenda that didn’t
include him.
Middle
Income Americans have five problems with Money: 1. Not making
more than the minimum payment on Credit cards. 2. Not having at least $50K in
life insurance. 3. Not having money invested in accounts outside of savings
accounts. 4. Not having enough savings for at least 3 months of expenses. 5.
Not saving enough for retirement. That seems to make sense.
Just
in case you are interested, the top 3 Nascar drivers so far this
season are Kyle Busch (Gibbs), Joey Logano (Penske) and Kevin Harvick Stewart-Haas).
The rest of the Top Ten are Denny Hamlin (Gibbs), Martin Truex Jr. (Gibbs), Brad
Kaseloski (Penske), Chase Elliott
(Hendrick), Kurt Busch (Chip Ganassi), Ryan Blaney (Penske) and Clint Bowyer
(Stewart-Haas). There’s been some great races this year. It’s faster than golf.
I
just looked at my stocks. I think I’m disliking President Trump
with intensity today.
Did
you know that Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren have been
arguing about bankruptcy law for 20 years? Good thing they are not dating, or
even nuzzling.
The
Answer:
Number one the list is Rachel McAdams followed by
Kate Winslet, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Bell, Emma Stone, Anna
Kendrick, Emma Watson, Tina Fey and Mila Kunis. I might pick Emma Thompson at #53
or Jennifer Garner (58). The only Non-Movie stars or singers on the list are
Danika Patrick (56), JK Rowling (68) and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge (79). The
last three are Helen Mirren (98), Sienna Miller (99) and Sigourney Weaver
((100).
Who
would
you choose?
Don’t
get overwrought about the news. It will change for the better.
