For all the Heroes Gone:
Flags
are planted all in row by stones with names of those
loved; as a remembrance of those who
fought for freedom and the perseverance of a giving nation. Is the red the
reminder of the blood that was lost. the blue of atmospheres above under which
they stood resilient? And the white the glow of emanating from their place in
the heaven above. God bless the fallen who gave, and the wounded who strive. One
by one, the flags are planted all in a row. So we would never forget.
I
think my golf game is starting to pick up a little now
that I’m focusing more on the little white ball than the lunacy of our fractured
political world.
I
noticed in a little featurette about how robots will deliver
packages in the future that the robot carrying a package skirts around a
scooter laying on the sidewalk, then walks across a nice green lawn to deliver
it to the porch. A human would have picked up the scooter and placed it in a
safe spot, and never walk across somebody’s manicured front lawn. Bring back humans!
It
got a little tense last night for James Holzhauer, didn’t it?
The
recent NFL draft in Nashville added $224 Million to the
city’s economy just 3-4 days. Oh my, how the nickel defense has mushroomed.
Four
Mount Everest climbers died yesterday descending just after reaching
the most sought-after peak. Who knows how many others have succumbed to
altitude sickness? Climbing that highest of all mountains is a very tough, extremely
dangerous feat. But has it lost is singularity? Yesterday it was true gridlock traffic
jam of those waiting to move up those last steps to the top, and to safely come
down after their moment. It was said there was a 2 ½ to three hour waiting
period to descend, That’s the time where the body becomes most vulnerable to
the altitude sickness that killed four. During this most recent short window
for climbing Everest, there were probably 781 climbers at some stage on the mountain
– including 14 Sherpa guides and 367 approved climbers. And, we think crowded beaches
around her is a problem.
The
Question:
What percentage of the USA population is urban? Bonus: Name five of Elton John’s
greatest hits.

A
writer of a Letter to the Editor of big newspaper wonders
why we never hear hysterical talk about the Government running out of money for
food stamps, rent subsidies, free cell phones, free health care an soon-to-be,
free college, but seniors are constantly badgered with the threat of the government
running out of money for the recipient funded retirement savings account known
as Social Security. Is this just a bureaucrat’s idea of senior torture.
Tids
Interruptus:
The Tids was chastised yesterday for leaving the
fans for the Tids novels in the lurch. “So, when are you going to finish the Colonial
tale of Pilgrims and Indians,” came the imploring plea. And just when I thought
I could relax for the summer. Jeez.
Most
disgusting hyperbolic accusation by a Democrat Award
for this week goes to Rep Lauren Underwood, who said deaths of children at the
boarder was an “Intentional Policy Decision”. How revolting.
One
of the movies reviewed below is called Booksmart.
It’s about two super smart girls and their friends who on the eve of their HS graduation
realize that they worked too hard at the expense of partying. Then the film apparently
shows them cramming four years of abstinence into one night of debauchery. The review
says, Strong sexual content, language throughout and drug use. Just what the
nation needs, a film that appears to extoll sex, booze drugs and full language
for teens already confused by the Internet. And whoever thought that the rewards
from studying and accomplishing wasn’t exhilarating. Maybe Hollywood just wants
the rest of the world to follow in their unrestrained world, so they won’t feel
so guilty.
I
would put Target at the top of a list of companies that
will lead retailing into the next modern era of consumerism.
Nobody
ever blames themselves for dastardly deeds done. The limelight
lawyer Avenatti is blaming Trump for his legal situation. But, that’s the trend.
Blame the Prez. Dems are even blaming him for their mismanagement of the past 3
decades that has caused urban blight and economic failure of American cities
Did
you ever wonder why God decided to create a 25 foot
long intestine system? Probably not.
AOC
seems to be in the news at least three times a day and I’m not the least bit interested
in anything she has to say.
Dem
activists are all for letting traitor John Walker
Lindt go free, but want to lock up Trump.
A
couple of weeks go the The Tids official Economist
said that one of the real dangers of the tariff mess is the potential increase
in inflation and a possible reaction by The Fed that would increase interest
rates. Yesterday, Fed’s Daly said expect inflation to move up to near 2% due to
tariffs. Stay with the Tids and beat the experts.
Everything
is getting smaller, and that includes motorcycle type
transportation. So maybe the troubled Harley company should look to a broader
appeal line of piglets. In today’s world of change, good companies who stick
too long with their past find that they will become part of history.
Bipartisanship
reawaken in Congress where a sensible new 401K scheme passed
417 to 3. Maybe there is hope after all, if we can get rid of the outrageous.
Elephants
use Ivory Soap to clean their tusks.
BTW,
the slaughter of elephants and rhinos makes me want to throw
up.
Considering
that impeachment is in effect simply an indictment, you
might just want to call the President a ham sandwich.
The
ten most expensive states in which to own a car are Cal,
Wash, Nevada, Mich, Missouri, Colo, RI, Conn, Fla and NJ. The best place to own
a car is New Hampshire followed by Mont, SC, Alaska, Oregon, NM, Alabam,
Virginia, SD and Oklahoma.

Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--This is a comedy about super smart teen girls who on
the eve of their HS graduation realize that they studied too much at the
expense of partying, So they cram four years of missed outrageousness into one
night. I won’t be in tat theater. But unfortunately, millions of kids will. Too
bad.
--Funny Story is described as a Hilarious and
heartfelt tragicomedy with memorable characters. And aging, heartthrob wannabee,
estranged father crashes a vacation of his daughter and drives away with her
friend, creating an unusual bond that will certainly ruin the lives of all in their
path. Yeah, real life again from Hollywood. Comedy?
--Aladdin is a nice film about the classic tale of
dreams and love. People will like it.
--Folks seem to like Brightburn, about an alien
child who lands on earth. At first viewed as a hero to mankind, it becomes something
far more sinister. I’d go.
The
Answer:
83.9% of the US population is Urban. The way cities are
being run these days, it doesn’t look too hopeful for the majority of Americans.
There are 93 people per one square mile of American soil. I wonder how Alaska
factors into that number? The US population is 4.27 % of the world total. Our
median age is 37. We have been adding about 1 Million migrants a year for the last
decade. The total population seems to grow about 1.89% per year. Bonus: Elton had over 50 hit singles,
Island Girl was rated #50. Tiny Dancer is rated #1! The rest of the top ten are
Rocket Man, Saturday Night’s Aright For Fighting, Your Song, Benny and the Jets,
Good Bye Yellow Brick Road, Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters, Sorry Seems to be the
Hardest Word, Song for Guy and Empty Garden. Then super popular Diana song, Candle
in the Wind, was #11. Philadelphia Freedom was #13 while Levon was #17 one spot
ahead of Crocodile Rock. Don’t go breaking My heart, sung with Kiki Dee, was
#23.
Have
a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
