Today's Tids Issue 4,501
Look smart; Keep mouth shut:
The aim of argument
or of discussion, should not be victory, but progress. –Joseph Joubert
Elizabeth did a good job
fending off all of the accusers onstage last night. Some observers said she
looked nervous, but she the poll leader was the brunt of attacks and survived better
than most, including Joe under similar circumstances last item. Bernie and Buttigieg
also gained some points while Biden and most of the others seemed to struggle. Personally,
I thought it was just more of the same and I lost interest quickly. Klobuchar
did a good job of claiming the centrist role in Dem Land. It may keep her
going. All candidates agreed on one thing – Trump impeachment
At the end of the debate
last night, Anderson Cooper reflected on Ellen’s comments about friendship with
those you may disagree with and asked a question in reference to it. The intolerant
went berserk on Twitter. Harris and deCastro said there were more poignant topics
to discuss. More poignant than trying to achieve harmony in a nation?
John Married Ruth.
John killed Ruth. Therefore, John is Ruthless. From a trusty reader.
The Question:
Who is Lauren Daigle?

A lot of our national controversies
are only controversies because the media keeps talking about them.
Underreported
though is the rampant advances of credit card thievery. Five prevalent devices
and/or schemes to steal credit card data are, 1, Skimmers, often attached to Gas
Pumps or ATM machines. The devices look a bit like regular scanners but are there
to take in your info. 2, there are more malicious retail clerks than you may
imagine. You could always use cash, but then you could be subject to old fashioned
robbery. At restaurants, it may be better to use your credit card instead of your
debit card. Restaurants are increasingly hacker targets because of the high volume
of transaction. Free WiFi in say hotels or public areas is a potential goldmine
for cyberthieves. Checkout VPN. Of course, then there is phishing, bogus emails
that lure you into opening your lives to the criminal underworld.
Every time lefties
open their mouths to speak they confirm that they are the most intolerant group
on the American landmass.
Maybe the Washington
DC people will get into The World Series now, and forget about Impeachment for
a few weeks.
With Joe Biden appearing
to fade and not doing much for himself last night, another possible late entry
name emerges. Michael Bloomberg. The billionaire said he would not enter the race
if Biden did, but he may be seeing the Biden slide and having second thoughts.
At least that’s the new murmur below the surface.
Spell-Check continues
to overlook offering the option of a capital “T” for the word trump. The bias
is everywhere. Hey, it even corrects Buttigieg properly.
In dangerous areas
of the city, grocery stores have a “smash and carry policy.
A knowledgeable source from
Brookings Institution once an Electoral College advocate, says he now has changed
his mind. New wife? What I noticed was that in his thoughtful piece where he
goes through the origins of the College he notes as one reason for having “Wise
Men” selecting the president, was that at the time there were too many uneducated
voters. Hmmm. Today we have a large percentage of bamboozled voters! And many live
in the big population centers. Is there any difference?
A reader reports on a new Nike
update of their Kaepernick slogan: “Believe in something unless it upsets the Chinese
government.”
This is the Tids
that went nowhere. Maybe it’s because of the haze following dem debates.
The Answer:
Laura Daigle is the most recent winner of the “Dove”
award, her tenth. She is also a two-time Grammy winner. She may be the leading
American contemporary Christian music singer and the Dove award is the highest
Honor among the Christian musicians. Do you think she will ever be honored at the
Kennedy Center Awards Affair?
Silence is
one of the hardest arguments to refute.
