There’s something about Seagulls.

Today's Tids Issue 5,539

Drifting along:

There is trauma and there is disbelief, and misfortunes that occasionally intrude on life. But tonight may be the beginning of a void impossible to fill again. Pat Sajak is closing the door of 41 years of smiles. The Wheel will never be the same. I'm going to miss the easy-going rascal always there with the quick quip. I never get wrapped up in celebrity, but Pat, Pat Sajak was different. He was a [art of my daily relaxing evenings.

Blue Bayou: Golfing partner hit a ball fifty yards past my best drive ever. Thank you, Linda Ronstadt,

Oops! The Economy looks good. Markets will go down. I hate that. I'm against any policy where good doesn’t get rewarded.

Just remember that when you are over the hill you begin to pick up speed.

The Question:

Name all the countries that participated in the Normandy Invasion.

The Headlines:

--US Adds More Jobs in May than Estimated; Unemployment Goes up; Stock Markets Quivering.

--Biden speaks at Normandy; Apologizes to Zelenski for Not Getting Weapons There Earlier.

You can live with a poorly cooked over-easy egg if the home fries are good.

Does not liking much of today's music make me appear old in society or a good judge of music.

That headline above is a classic example of how statistics can really mean anything even if they are mathematically sound: “US Adds More Jobs in May than Estimated; Unemployment Goes up.”

The stock markets are all hot and bothered by something I never knew existed, “Roaring Kitty.” Say What?

It seems silly to me that people allow themselves to be billboards for multimillion dollar operations without compensation. And to add insult to injury, they have to pay for the billboards they wear. The T-Short phenomena is one of the great American cons. Maybe a chip in the T could count looks and automatically bill the company for number of eyeballs. The rates would be based on the demographics of the areas trod by T wearers.

I would say that music today is not about melody but about how fast you can get the blood flowing.

Just when you finally feel comfortable in your skin, it begins to sag

The young wave has risen to the top in the French Open tennis. The men’s semi now underway has Zverev in position (2-6, 6-26-4, 3-2) ot eliminate Ruud. The other semi was a great one with Alcarez beating the favorite Sinner in a tough 5 set match. The two old guard superstars Nadal and Jakovich both looked old in losing earlier and then succumbing to injuries.  On the women side Iga beat Cocoa easier than I thought. She will meet the surprising Paolini who beat an up and comer, Andreeva. But when clay is the surface of the day it can affect the way, the contestants playof Paris changes teh odds for a lot of players.

So, the news isn't too bad today when I can insert a paragraph about tennis and not feel I’m losing something. It’s always good to insert something about love.

Well, folks, it’s Friday and I gotta get going. My mind is as quiet as the listless grassy fields.

The Answer:

The majority of troops came from UK, Canada and US, But Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland were also out there fighting for freedom.

I seem to be suffering from apathy, But I don’t know and I don't care.

Let your mind fly, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
