What is Big

Today's Tids Issue 5,549

Drop the Charade:

How about that! Nvidia has passed Microsoft and Apple to become the most valuable company in the world. Out of basically nowhere they have toppled giants. How much of that moon shot growth is based on Hype hope? Obviously, I wish I had bought a bunch of shares just two years ago! But going forward there is a big question as chip giants, and AMD and Intel have strong AI chip programs well underway. and also bigs like Microsoft and Amazon are looking to create their own chip sources. So, the new question will be, when is shakeout time. Or am I just a casual observer blabbing?

“I was walking in Paris and tripped. Eiffel over.” Maybe she was in Seine.

Oddly yesterday I made a comment about not caring about all the adulation for Willie Mays because he was on a team that I loved seeing my beloved Brooklyn Dodger trounce. But, he was a great player and he died yesterday.

The Question:

The Headlines:

--Markets Stable today, Not Open.

--Restaurant Activity Slowing as Wallets become Thinner.

--US Lawmakers Meet with Dalai Lama; China May Not be Happy.

--Threat of Terrorist Attacks Ticking up.

--LA to Impose Strict Ban on Cell Phone Usage During School Time,

--NK’s Kim and Putin Sign Mutual Protection Treaty.

--Iran Signals Major Boost in Uranium Enrichment.

I personally think that one of the biggest problems in America is the cost of home rentals.

In case you missed it, LV odds makers have already set up the Boston Celtics as a favorite to repeat. Ok, shoot me. I'm still wallowing in the thrill of victory.

Many of the alleged biggest problems in America are created by political operatives so they can take sides.

Education does not always relate to intelligence.

From an intelligent friend who is also well educated: “Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young pullets, and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs. He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells. Fred's favourite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. To Fred's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Fred was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the City Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well. Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.

The other day while drivign along I saw three nice-looking teen girls sitting there on a bucolic old grey stone wall, their feet buried in waving day lilies... and their heads buried in phones not talking; perhaps oblivious to the beauty of nature around them.

As the world goes by merrily listening to weather reports, there is a lot bubbling beneath the surface between Russia, Iran, NK and China. And it probably is not about going to Kumbaya camp with America.

The Answer:

#1 is Haunted Mansion, then in order we have Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Pirates oof the Caribbean, Expedition Forest, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Soaring Around the World, Avatar Flight of Passage and #10, Kilimanjaro Safaris.

You are never too old to be a kid. Just ask any man.

See you all tomorrow. Beware of the bells.
