Today's Tids Issue 5.791

Aspirin:

Someday I'm going to have to master the rules of Quantum Mechanics. But not today.

What my practical math tells me today is that Walmart had raised the price of their Diet Cola by 22%, But that is till 40% lower than the average “Sale” price for Diet Coke and Pepsi. What I have learned is you can overcome economic disturbances by learning how to enjoy the taste of something else.

The Bulls and the Bears are at odds this morning. And it seems now the bears have sharper teeth. What I have been reading today  are definitive reports from some of the top financial mavens on the street saying the market essentials are still powerful enough to overcome the current nadir. While others equally knowledgeable are saying the hazy future tells us it will be painful and highly irregular for a long time. If it was just some financial hobbyist like me talking, I wouldn't pay attention at all, but these were the best sowing doubt, .

Steven Wright says he was once an interpreter for bad mimes.

The Question:

What are the three simple rules of Quantum Mechanics? Bonus: Steven Wright was told that 90% of the accidents he would get in would occur within 1 mile of his house. What did he do?

The Headlines:

--America Pessimism over Economy Grows; Series of Surveys Show Trump Hitting New Lows on Confidence in his Handling of Economy; Markets Opening Lower as Tariff Confusion Reawakens; IBM. Pepsi and Southwest Airlines Earnings on Tap Today.

--Trump Tells Putin to Stop with the Deadly Strikes on Kiev.

--India’s Modi Closes Border to Pakistan After Terror Attack in Kashmier that Kills Over Ten Tourists.

--Canadian Patriotism Surging; Even French and English Communities Agreei ng

Every s CEO in America it seems is scurrying to get up to speed on Quantum Computing. But here's the rub: MIT Sloan says it is an innovation that most can't define nor properly understand even though it is highly likely to be the next obscure technology to have a seismic effect on business. But that has never held back CEO’s in the past.

Here is a definition of Quantum Computing in theSimplest” Terms: “It uses the weird principles of quantum physics, like superpostion and entanglement, to perform calcualtions in a way traditional computers can’t.Actually, 98% of the people really don't know how old computers work, They just look at their phones and take everything for granted.

My head is really going to hurt by the end of this issue of Tids.

Spell-Check will never figure out how to adapt to quantum computing.

You just have to laugh at the irony of the story about the USA Chief of Homeland Security having her purse Stolen.

The Prez issued a lot of new EO’s to restore common sense to education. Meritocracy is certainly a good thing. But usurping Universities ability to run their own institutions not so hot in my view. Nor would it be to tell Business people how to run their operations. Government overreach has always been my biggest concern regardless of whether it is liberals or conservatives in charge.

By the way, Musk is learning a lot about running a business and the difficulties of government intervention. He is definitely leanrning that there are just so many people who can afford ridiculous prices. Hence, the Tesla company is all out for making cheaper cars. If America in general learned how to make more affordable products here, there would be no negative trade deficits for us.

Do you know that Julia Child cried when she thought of Nancy Silverton’s Brioche Tart with White Secret Sauce. I wonder if that sauce is as hard to learn as quantum mechanics? The sauce is a combination of caramelized sugar, vanilla beans and white wine. But that’s all can tell.

The Answer:

The Three fundamental principles of Quantum Mechanics are Superposition, Entanglement and wave-particle duality. These explain the behavior of matter and energy at atomic and subatomic levels. Differing significantly from classical physics. So, there's a message in here for you, somewhere. Bonus: He moved. Yes, that doesn't make sense either.

As you get older you can let your mind get lazy., so i like to stress it out from time to time. It will bever recover from trying to learn quantum mechanics. Actually, I had a lot of problems with college “Classical" physics back when my mind was supposedly sharp

This is where my mind likes to wander.
