Lessons Held.

Today's Tids Issue 5,786

Hope works:

As a young kid in my earliest years of Catholic grammar school I always sat there wincing feeling the pain as I was learning the tale of the Crown of Thorns. There are some things you never forget.

Speaking of otherworldly, scientists yesterday reported on finding Signs of life on another planet. Yes, they discovered Chemical signatures produced by simple organisms like Phytoplankton on a planet 700 trillion Miles away. Don’t worry about being attacked by space aliens soon.

There's nothing like a sunny morning walk with a breeze blowing through it.

The Question:

What well known auto executive was the brains and power behind the intro of Ford's Mustang. Bonus: What are the top ten NCAA D1 Women’s lacrosse teams?

The Headlines:

--Trump Takes Aim at Fed’s Jay Powell, Powell says he is here Until the End, May 2026.

--Dow Opens in Muck; Nas Edges Above Water Then Sinks Gently; United Heath Misses Big Ahead of Opening; Taiwan Semi and AX also Report Earnings Early with Positive Results.; To Come today: Netflix, Eli Lily, Hertz Novo Nordisk and Others

--Lily Stock Soars After Rreporting Success with newf Weight Loss Pill Competitive to Ozempic.

--US Housing Starts Tumble to Eught Month Low In March.

--DOGE Places Entire Staff of Interagency Council on Homelessness on Leave; Move Could Be against Law that Rerquires at least 5 Regional Managers.

--Honda Refutes Report If they are Moving from Canada.

--Scientists Report Discovery of Life on Distant Planet.

I like the idea of a sunny morning walk except that when finished and I return to the keyboard i am typing blindly. So, it's sunny mornings that create typos.

Our favorite TPL writes to say the Chinese are retaliating by putting bad fortunes into cookies

I like the idea that Wall Street closes down for Good Friday.

I adhere to the TV knob philosophy. If I don't like something I turn it off. The last thing we need is government turning things off for us.

That said, hypocrite me says the worst thing ever for kids is social media and we should turn it off to save them. You can't win.

If somebody offers you a ticket for the Fyre Festival, run! Fyre Fest2 Reboot is seemingly lost in shrouds of mis claims. Again.

If that planet was 700 trillion miles away how did that data get abck here so fast. I guess the speed of light really is fast.

If you are in a spaceship that is traveling at the speed of light, and you turn on the headlights, does anything happen? --SW

Speaking of speed, it was this day in 1964 when Ford introduced the Mustang. It sold over 411,000 of the pop car that year. Tey had projected that a great year would be sales of 100,000.

It's nice walking into a greenhouse these days and feel the delightful caressing of colorful flowers.

Yes, the Supreme Court is on pace to have its busiest year ever.

The NBA and NHL Playoffs just began, and they will go to June... As late as June 23 for both! Yikes! And Baseball will try to get noticed before the NFL gets going in later July

The Answer:

Lee Iacocca, a Lehigh U grad and well-known exec who turned around Chrysler was also a major force at Ford. And among his his shining achievements was a star called Mustang. Bonus: I just threw this in because sometimes the news forgets about super athletes hard at work not getting paid millions. Number One is Boston College. The rest are North Carolina, Northwestern. Florida, Princeton, Johns Hopkins, Virginia, Stanford, Yale and Maryland. When I was younger, Maryland especially, and Long Island also, were hot beds of HS Lacrosse. Did you know that Johns Hopkins is in the Big 10 for Lacrosse? If you can't invent it, buy it.

Well enjoy a peaceful evening a special Friday tomorrow.
