Hey, what do you expect, its Friday... time to deaden the brain.
Writing about early activity in the markets is really nonsensical in a column like this. By the time I hit the first period to complete my succinct analyzation, the market could turn completely upside down. So, I’ll just stay macro.
Are tariffs prohibiting climbing Mount Everest this year?
The Question:
Who is Junko Tabei?

JPM Investors are shouting like kids in a college Quad Protest, “Do not Go". Jamie Dimon who had led a very successful JP Morgan Company for years ready to retire, and the investors are worried. Dimon is one smart cookie. I knew a guy also smart who worked closely with JD, and always said he was the smartest guy he over knew. But don't tell Trump that.
BTW, if you read between the lines, it becomes apparent that most of the recent moves by the admin that advanced China relations were the result of the admin listening to Dimon. That has been acknowledged quietly in the halls of the WH.
Here’s a dichotomy for you. The success of the Arabian $600 Billion weapons purchase is based on Saudis maintaining a high price for oil. Turmp wants lower gas prices.

I hadn’t heard much about Everest mania this season, so I made little joke earlier. But itis active actually up from 421 non-Nepalese last year to 453. Six climbers have died. But observers say they are worried about the warmer temps. And of course, the Tibetan earthquake was unsettling so to speak. But they are there, and the Sherpas still have plenty of work.
The Answer:
Junko Tabei was a Japanese climber and the first woman ever to summit Everest in 1975. She went on to become quite the environmentalist leading clean-up Everest expeditions and writing 7 books. She also scaled the highest mountain on all seven Continents. She was a humble good hearted, giving person. An astronomer names Asteroid 6897 “Tabei”. Sje was a remarkable, giving, caring person.
