Misunderstandings.

Today's Tids Issue 5,807

Disappearing acts:

Why would you want to eat a happy free-range chicken. A chicken with dreams clucking through a life she lives fully without restraint. With hopes and whimsies, everything to live for. No, you should prefer a chicken cloistered in a crammed coop, only hoping someday his miserable life would end. Think about it.

The flowers this May are having trouble holding onto their petals as fierce winds blow. But somehow, they do, don't they.

There are a lot of overpitched news stories that come in as tornadoes and disappears silently as though they never existed. But one that is underplayed just may be the most dangerous threat to mankind’s destiny -- the protentional real problems for the global food supply. Not only is it inhumane to let populations struggle for basic survival sustenance. Also note, unfed people are angry people. Wars have been started since the beginning of time over food. You laughwe’re too sophisticated for that. The food supply chain problem is a lot bigger than pandemic shortage of Cheetos. It is life and death, and it will only get worse if we as a Global community aren’y looking forward.

Politicians like to stand on their record to prevent voters from examining it.

The phrase, “Breaking news is quickly doomed to become the most meaningless of all time. Saturday "Breaking news” popped up on my phone and it was only about Kaitlin Clarke Committing a flagrant foul on Angel Reese. Our civilization has lost its mind.

Walmart understands successfully managing businesses with narrow margins better than Trump does.

This may be sacrilegious, but I think the Nike Swoosh logo is annoying graphically.

I'm allergic to cotton. I have pilIs I can take for it but I can’t get them out of the bottle.

The guy who blew up that fertility clinic in Palm Springs over the weekend was an “Anti natalist”. That is one strange sect, Anti natalists are against people being born as it does harm to the earth. So, I guess giving up gluten is pretty tame considering the other 6+ Billion people. Just so you know -- Antinatalism: “The most common arguments for antinatalism include that life entails inevitable suffering, death is inevitable, and humans are born without their consent (that is to say, they cannot choose whether or not they come into existence). Additionally, although some people may turn out to be happy, this is not guaranteed, so to procreate is to gamble with another person's suffering. There is also an axiological asymmetry between good and bad things in life, such that coming into existence is always a harm.”

I used to enjoy the H&G Show, “Love or List It. But Hillary left after 19 years saying it had become repetitious – even though she never stopped enjoying playing opposite David. They have a new antagonist to realtor David. She may be a good designer, but the success of the show was really about the chemistry between David and Hillary. There is nothing going on now. And David looks bored.

The kind of publicity coming out about the WNBA sounds more like WWF instead of something I would wnat to watch for the purity of good basketball; ot watch for pure athletic excellence. I'm not interested in feuds and socio-cultural degeneration. Just create good basketball and close games and gutsy efforts. Don't let the publicists ruin the game.

By the way, in the 80’s they promoted the Bird/Magic feud. But for real fans it was about fans liking to watch unique talent at work, each playing his game. Nice journalistic effort but their games stood above and alone without the glitter.

The big Taiwan chipmaker TSMC is supposedly building a gigantic secret manufacturing operation in Arizona to make the most advanced AI chips ever. Did I say secret? It's bringing manufacturing back to the US, but will it bring many manufacturing jobs? Probably unlikely as it will be highly automated. But its domestic location will add to our national security.

Did you hear about the kid who started a business tying shoelaces on the playground? It was a knot-for-profit.

The Answer:
