Fast Closing:

Today's Tids Issue 5,630

Is there time:

29 Days to the election. The media makes it sound like Kamala is a lock, but the polls and analysis of Electoral votes say it is still super close. We know we have super aligned Trumpers, Dems and women who will vote party and gender, fence sitters and people wondering how we got to where we are. And on November 6 it will be over. And all I'm hoping is that we have a Repub Congress just to assure gridlock.

Jamie Dimon, a very smart guy and Chairman of JP Morgan, said last week, "The USA used to be a can-do nation and now it is as Bureaucratic as Europe”. And that in essence is the biggest problem facing our country despite the noise over popular bickering issues dominating the news.

Are all people who back their cars into parking pots or driveways Firemen?

Why did the Red Sox trade Alex Verdugo. Or Mookie Betts or for that matter, not trying to hang onto Freddie Lynn. Isn’t it interesting how baseball fans never let the suffering subside. I guess it builds character.

We've got to get back to being resourceful and away from beholden.

There is nothing easier than listening to Puccini.

Maurice Ravel is best known generally because of his pulsating work, “Bolero”, But much of Ravel's work is like a rose with edges softened by sunlight.

Could Kam and Tim have had a better day than Friday when the Dockworkers postponed their Strike and the Jobs Report said teh economy is terrific, that is until they revise it downward in a month as usual.

The AMA Show (American Music Awards Show) was weird last night with no awards. It was basically a infomercial to remind people of their musical past, with but a bare minimum of curretn pop. (Which was a good idea to me). It seemed to basically promote something for CBS in the future. Though there was plenty of nostalgia to go around for the older generations. But no Mairzy Doats.

How successful would a politician be who stood up and said.” I won't promise you anything except that I won't spend beyond thc government's means.”

The American Music Awards last night were nostalgia for those who came of age in the 1980’s.

There is way too much entertainment oozing into Football games -- Toom any announcers, too many celebrities, too many side shows. But that's what you get when you sell your soul to the devil.

Whatever happened to free thinking independent college students, now who must follow dress appropriate rules going to football games so their stadiums look good on TV.

“When George Washington was asked for is ID did he just whip out a quarter?” --SW

Most people concerned about the southern border are not against or afraid of immigration, they are just concerned that the government is looking the other way allowing basic laws of any civilized society to be broken. Societies don't survive in chaos.

Not only do I have to spend Sundays suffering through another Patriots game, but now are running Kamala commercials during time outs. Whatever happened to peaceful Sundays?

BTW, maybe it would be a good idea to get back to no stores open on Sundays and it would be spent with church and families at home together. And big meals with lots of gravy, Yeah, I know, I'm a dinosaur. But somehow it felt better back then

That Nascar Crash yesterday was amazing. It showed how fast highway tragedies can occur. Unfortunately, some drivers on Highways drive like Nascar drivers, forgetting 99% of drivers are not Nascar trained.

The Answer:

NC-17 is a movie rating that means not suitable for Kids – No Children under 17. The first movie to receive that rating was osne called Henry and June- a film about author Anais Nin and her relationship with Henry Miller and Wife June, and more. NC was a good idea

Since the AMA show was all about nostalgia, so to end today I thought I'd pick one I Liked... from songs I remember my kids playing around the house.
