It happened.

Today's Tids Issue 5,634

It can be done:

Happy Columbus Day, everybody! Regardless of how some rewrite history This progressive Italian mariner fought for the chance to challenge the darkened seas beyond the comfort of common knowledge to help broaden the scope of the world.

There’s nothing like October

When the air is cooling.

Because when it's hot now,

It is just God fooling!

The news media do a disservice to all of those people suffering following a natural disaster when focusing their reports on political bickering. Who cares about political scorecards when we are thinking about and feeling the sorrow for real people possibly losing everything, they have worked for their entire livcs. It just breaks my heart

Remember when we considered the “Clapper” high tech?

The Question:

Who were the Pony Boys of 1967?

The Headlines:

-Markets Meandering This Morning; Big Banks, Retail Sales and Netflix Earnings on Tap This Week.

--400,000 in Florida Still Without Power.

--US To Send Anti-Missile System, Troops to Israel.

--New NBC Poll Has Presidential Race Dead Even; Las Vegas Odds Makers Push Trump Chanced ot H Winning Further Ahead.

--Trump Proposes Using Militaru to Maintain Order on Election Day.

“Do you think he called himself T.S. Eliot so nobody would notice T. Eliot is toilet spelled backwards?” Thanks to a friendly wordsmith.

Statue relocation is no different than burning books.

Do you know why I root against Ohio State? Because people insist on putting “the” in front of it. It was exciting watching Oregon come back to winSorry Buckeyes.

Remember sandlot pickup games that were mainly for fun. I'm thinking that the big money is beginning to ruin the pure enjoyment sports all the way down to down to T-Ball or Pee Wee something or other. How many parents now only look at kids sports through the prism of NIL money?

Speaking visual mysteries... Where do bad rainbows go? To prism! It's a light sentence but it gives them some time to reflect!”

Yesterday a New England Patriots' special teams’ player signed a 3 year $9-10.5 Million Contract. Thats possibly $3 plus million a year for running down field on kickoffs and punts 4 or 5 times a game. And people for political gain crucify CEO income for running businesses that create thousands of jobs for Americans cross the country. USA Sports is pure capitalism.

Following in the spirit of Columbus adventurism now we are sending courageous explorers to the moon without considering that moon men and women may be deathly averse to human covid.

Elon Musk staged a stopgap event last night hoping to wow investors with his Rono-Driven commercial vehicles. What it proved to many investors was that his possibility for success is too far away and that makes todays stock valuation too high for today.

On the other hand, Musk’s Space X company once again proved the immensity of his wizardry when a tower captured a descending rocket for reuse. It was unprecedented and quite amazing.

The American system should never have to consider sending out the Military to assure a a peaceful election day.

Have you noticed lately many female personalities of TV are wearing drab pantsuits and parting their long dark hair on the side? The normalization of a new American image continues.

“I met a girl who runs a battery kiosk at the park. She sells C-Cells by the see-saw.” Thanks to the TPL.

The Answer:

In 1967, 11-year-old Tony Whittemore of Needham Mass said to his mom that he would love to go to the Montreal World’s Fair. She said they could not afford it. But they had a Shetland pony which they used for local birthday Parties. Take “King” your pony she said. So, they did. Tony and his nine-year-old brother Jeff thought it a great idea and they rigged a cart in which to ride and be pulled by King. Mom called head of Chambers of Commerce in towns along the 350 mile route alerting them of the arrival of the boys. At each town they, traveling complexly on their own, were well received and they always found a meal and a bed in which to sleep.  They spent no money, arrived safely and were given a free pass to the Fair when they arrived in 27 days. Google it.

The adventurous spirit: Tony, Jeff and Christopher. Anything can be accomplished if you puy your mind to it.
