Today's Tids Issue 5,658
Having Heart:
I saw the moon.
Faint against a late day sky.
It was stirring.
It made me feel humble.
Loving. Caring;
For all who strive.
It's all about a swinging pendulum these elections of ours. It seems now-a-days the pendulum swings out further than before. And stays out on the fringes longer. It’s always nice when it starts moving the other way, but its always better if it swings gently back and forth.
"The fact that people can't distinguish between etymology and entomology bugs me beyond words.” --TPL
Sometimes you just have to dwell on gentle perfect beauty beyond reality; gossamer drifting.

FOMO is pushing the stock market higher these days and will stay there for a while until people start realizing there is nothing there.
The Repub majority in the House (If they regain it) and Senate will be razor thin. If Trump keeps poaching congressional members for admin jobs, he could he loses his most important advantage, Congress. The weird just continue to get weirder.
Speaking of going to the well too often:
“My neighbor couldn't afford his water bill, So I bought him a get well soon, card.” --TPL
Beyond Reality, Department:
Regardless of political leanings, this Trump sentencing thing is a serious legal enigma. Considering the facts as they are, not the political emotions, we a have a President-Elect legally convicted and a Supreme Court saying he does not have immunity for everything. This has never happened before. There are no precedents. This is Shakespearean. The judge can dismiss a jury conviction on the immunity issue. The Judge can wait for four years for sentencing. From a general legal interest point of view only, this seems high on the scale of greatest legal puzzlements ever. Where is King Solomon when you need him>
Let's hear it for the Cleveland Cavaliers who are off to one of the best NBA starts in history joining an elite group winning its first 12. Donovan Mitchell is a player.
Spell Check is really not very intuitive at all. Spell check would lose at Wordle.
How come a music piece that American love best at big patriotic celebrations is written by a Russian? Yes, people always look forward to the crescendo for an evening of patriotic fervor with the playing of "The 1812 Overture” by Tchaikovsky. Music transcends identity politics. If you have an open heart.
I told somebody yesterday that The Tids is sometimes pretty good and other times not so hot. It’s a lot like life or even love. But as we think back, I think we all forget the blahs.
The Answer:
Personally, I first thought of Hoosiers which turns out on this list to be #11. I can't argue against Rocky as number 1. Number 2 is Miracle. Followed n by Rocky IV, The Karate Kid, Remember the Titans., Warrior, Moneyball, Cinderella Man, Rudy and Cool Runnings. Hoosiers was eleven followed by Braveheart, A League of their Own, Million Dollar Baby, Invincible, 8Mile, The Fighter, Ford Versus Ferrari, Slumdog Millionaire and #20, The Natural. One of the all-time Greats, Chariots of Fire, is #47 and one i thought sure to be way up on top, Breaking Away, wasn't even listed. If you have queries about favorites of yours, let me know.
The music for Breaking Away was one of its pleasant highlights. This was a pleasant scene:
