Today's Tids Issue 5,656
Don't worry:
The aftermath of this election is going to be great for humorists as political experts race around trying to throw people other than themselves under the bus. George Clooney is in the sights of many Dem apologists blaming his Op Ed piece for the entire mess.
There's no truth to the rumor that Dems have officially gone back to 2020, saying that in fact after an exhaustive investigation, Trump did win in 2020 making him now ineligible for a third term. Hey, its politics – what did you expect..
“There was a power outage at a government building yesterday. Twenty people were trapped on the escalators.” It happened in the congressional building.
The Question:
Name five former Trump supporters, cabinet members or advisors who probably won't be in the new cabinet.
The Headlines:
--Dow Surging, Nas off; Nvidia Officially Joins Dow; Today Could End as Best Week of the Year.
--Susie Wiles picked by Trump to be Chief of Staff; Wiles First female Chief of Staff in History.
--Repubs Inching Along in Attempt to Retain Majority in House; Two Seats in Arizona and Five in Cal Could be the difference; Hair Thin Margins in Seats for Maine and Ohio could also flip Control.
--Canada Orders TikTok to Shut Down Operations There; Canadians Cite Security risks.
Susie Wiles was a surprise pick least to me. Interestingly that she was the first ever in the USA woman to be named as the Powerful Chief of Staff, and a key position at the top of government. I guess lack of media acclamation suggests that a woman doesn’t achieve anything unless it is a liberal woman.
Chances are that Mike Pence will not be the new Secretary of State. But he did do the right courageous thing as VP when he confirmed Electoral College results.
It was nice this time that we didn't have to get into that Electoral College argument again,
I'm not really very enthused about the new idea of what constitutes gourmet in restaurants.
I like Prince William and Kate. It's nice to hear she is doing so well after a super tough bout. But it's always nice to hear how anybody beats back the horror of cancer.
I don't mind losing like Cincy did last night against the Ravens. Play like a winner.
When you think about it... This weekend will be an underwhelming anticlimax to the noisiest six month in history. And the peace will be lovely.
I have a decaffeinated coffee table. You'd never know it to look at it. - Steven Wright
College football should be getting better. But now that they have expanded the number of teams eligible for the Playoffs from 4 to 12, all games now are not that crucial. The best games this weekend -- #11 Alabama needs this to stay within the top 12. But opponent LSU is very good too. Indiana is undefeated but Michigan can be dangerous. How good are the Hoosiers? Georgia is in and Ole’ Miss probably is too. This one has all the earmarks of a good one for pride. Penn State is one of my favorites, but they have not been dominant in winning. Washington poses an intriguing competitor this week. And of course, Lehigh versus Holy Cross is filled with potential drama, but big money Football doesn't care.
The Answer:
Other than Pence, How Bout Bill Barr, Chris Christie, John Bolton, John Kelley, Betsy DeVos, The Scaramucci, Elanie Chao, Mark Esper, James Mattis, Rex Tillerson. and Omarosa Manigault. Nikki bent a lot and my find a job there.
Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-b-o-d-y!!
