Bloated Friday.

Today's Tids Issue 5.671

Think beyond:

This old Turkey is stuffed. Yes, still this morning after a rapturous luxurious donner last evening. It must be all the laughs hanging over, for it certainly isn't the gravy

Staying at home today on Black Friday is really liek a cheap but thoroughly relaxing vacation.

Man: "I've never seen "The Hunt for Red October"

Friend: "Why? It's a great movie"

Man: "I don't like movies with subtitles"

Think about it.

Is it me but has celeb and Entertainment reporting gotten inaner and inaner.

The Question:

Who wrote: “Curse on all laws but those that love has made”.? Bonus: Who are considered the Top Five All-Time DWTS champs?

The Headlines:

Microsoft Word is always trying to guide me into helpful hints I don't need. I shudder at the thought of allowing the smug AI into my system.

A great and wise friend of mine recommends reading the book "Patriot" written by Aleksei Navalny. It makes you understand determination, righteousness and yes, surprisingly, thinking about human decency.

Did you see where Australia after a couple of weeks of legislative debate voted to ban social media for children under 16? I tested the theory on couple of young 20 something's and they thought it was a good idea. It may be an apparent loss of freedoms, but those who have been there seem to understand the social burden on the fragile, oversensitive young and impressionable.

When the young running back cannot hold on to the football, they say “Thats how the rookie fumbles” (Thanks to Crankshaft for making me smile this morning.

You may be happy the Tids Editors didn't get into The Voice this year. I watched opening performances and liked a few. But lost it along the way. The singing as has been good, and they are now down to the final Eight. Each Judge gets two. Fair and equity are the order of the day as judges' egos need soothing to the detriment of not picking the best pure eight. The Judges are longer timers Reba and Gwen and newbies Snoop Dog and Michael Bublé. I'll try tot take a peak next week and pick a champ. Sorry I let myself get out of touch.

Btw, on the music front it seems everybody wants to go country, from Beyonce to Rap.

Yesterday three NFL games proved one thing, every half time show is the same regardless of star power. Or how big the stage.

So did you ever have an itch in a place on your back where it is impossible to reach. Makes writing Tids difficult.

There are important college games this weekend, and a few that are just great rivalries where upsets can happen. Notre Dame is Highly ranking but have played a weakish schedule. Tomorrow they play old nemesis SoCal. I think it will be a good game. Also, on tap in the big rivalry line up are Ohio State and Michigan (the Wolverines have won the last 3), a questionable Alabama against an always ornery Auburn. Don't forget the significance of another which will have an effect on the ACC championship – Clemson just behind conference leader SMU against super SEC rival South Carolina.

Let's hear it for Rhode Island FC, the state’s soccer in the USL which just played for the league's national championship. Soccer fans from RI traveled to Colorado for it and the stands have been filled all year long. Maybe the state legislature will take notice and understand how the dreams of great entrepreneurs can do  so much more for the future of a state than te status quo thinking that usually ends with lawmaker brothers-in-law building storage facilities. And a stadium in a downtrodden city is so much more than a field. It is hope, a rebirth.

I am so tired of dancing football players.

The Macy's TDay parade doesn’t really feel like a parade but a lot of commercials for events and shows. And watching on TV is difficult as the camera is mainly focused on the announcers giddily jabbering. Call me and Old Curmudgeon, and Il; say thank you.

The Answer:

The Quote was from Pope, Alexander that is... and deftly recited by “Snoopy: in an apt moment. It was form Popes Eloise and Abelard.

Bonus: Number five was Jorden Fisher. Goin up to One we have at 4, Charli D’Amelio then Rumer Willis, and Meryl Davis. Number one was Nyle DiMarco.

Have a great Weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
