Today's Tids Issue 5.686
It will work out:
Well!! There's a lot of good news today.... we're on our way to summer. Yes, starting tomorrow the days will be longer. We have endured the depth of utter bleakness and now it is only sunshine ahead. It's a good day to smile.
Zowie!
Did you know muffins spelled backwards is what you do when you take them out of the oven?
Yum!
And then there is Congress and Trump already at loggerheads with them even before he is in the oval office. 38 Repubs joined Dems to reject the Trump budget proposal to avert a shut down. Tonight! It cost us taxpayers 4 billion during the last shutdown. Fed employees will not be paid and that includes TSA workers at airports during the already busiest season. So today will be interesting House sitting watching for clues about a compromise that would keep the Grinch out of town.
The Question:
What are considered the Ten Best Christmas Carols that came from Movies, TV Specials?
The Headline:
--US Government on the Brink of Shutdown; Speaker Johnson says He Has a Plan C.
--Shaky Inflation Data, Looming Gov Shutdown Has Stocks Sinking Early, only to Rebound Vociferously at Closing..
--700,000 Tesla Cars Recalled.
--Northeast to get Blasted by Wintry Storm, Temps.
It's snowing here. And it feels real good. I know that the news will report it as some kind of catastrophe, But I've always found it peaceful and calming. Especially if you don't go out and drive recklessly in it.
Tonight and tomorrow, College football fans will be treats to four games that means something. Tonight, it’s an intriguing game between Indiana and Notre Dame. These are two teams who made it into the hallowed twelve but two also criticized for having weak schedules. It will be a toss-up. Notre Dame will win. Tomorrow there are three games all probably too close to call despite the odds makers, The easiest one on paper may be Ohio State beating Tennessee. Or is it. The Vols played in the tough SEC. The Big Ten had the best publicity department but how many teams are great? I'll go Tennessee. Texas should be all over Clemson, but the Tigers have a coach who has been to championships' before. But Texas is better. Finally, SMU versus Penn State. I know little about SMU, and what I know about Penn State is that they have trhee really standout players. Is that enough? I think the Nittany Lions are due to win a big one. And besides I always root for Penn State.
Social media is insane.
I was walking in the jungle and saw a lizard on his hind legs telling jokes.
I turned to a local tribal leader and said, "That lizard is really funny!"
The leader replied, "That's not a lizard. He's a stand-up chameleon.
Some people may think I'm just an old dinosaur., but I can adapt to any cheezie snack that arrives on a supermarket shelf regardless of how complex or offsetting it may appear. Just call me an early adapter.
The dyslexic zombie only ate Brians.
It's softly snowing, and it looks just great out there.
Remember from 2016 to 2020* I always said that Microsoft Spell-Check was a liberal democrat because they never a capital “T” option for the word trump. They haven't changed. I wonder what else Microsoft is doing to me. (*Really, why would you remember anything I wrote 4 to 8 years ago.)
In the coming weeks there’s moniker you may be seeing appliedt o Elon Musk -- “President Musk”. Trump will hate it but then he will remember that Musk spent $277 Million to support him and the Repubs.
