Huh?

Today's Tids Issue 5,677

Differences:

The technology of today makes too many thought processes too complex. But the good news is that AI will eliminate thought processes all together. And we will all be simplistic puddles.

What do you do with a sick biochemist? If you can’t helium, and you can’t curium, then you might as well barium.

How simplistic is that!

Some Dems, including all people Bernie Sanders, are beginning to see the value of DOGE as defined By Rans and Musk. Many Dems are agreeing, yes, we must become more efficient, but we dont want to lose any good programs. Bernie Sanders says he is ready to jump in with cost cutting beginning with a haircut for the Defense budget!  But will any of them go for a complete shaving off of the Department of Education. It appears that the reason many Dems are looking at the positive side of clipping off the budget exc ess is because the business leaders, many who are Dem contributors, show showng support for the idea.

The Question:

Where was Phi Beta Kappa Founded? Bonus: Who is the Billboard Number one Pop Artist for the 21st century to date. Who are teh Top ten?

A Roman walks into a bar, holds up two fingers, and says, “Five beers, please.”

Tids Pickin is Feeling pretty good now coming off a 15-1 week and ruing the fact that the team I missed has been one of my favorers, Steelers. It was also a hold your breath come from behind at thelast minute week that gave our mighty sports department a big win. The record now is 124-57 (68.5%). Yeah right... nice for a moment but this week looks difficult especially with many teams having nothing to play for already and others that may be feeling more secure than they should. Tonight already is a huge game -- The Pack and the Lions in the frigid north Midwest. The Pack have been playing well, and the Lions have been anointed but are they that good. They have some injuries. But I think I will stick with the kings of the jungle. This will be close. Personally, I’m thinking there are a lot of close games at all echelons. But the most interesting are Atlanta-Minn, Seattle–Arizona, Buffalo-Rams, and LAC and KC. And maybe the rivalry of Cleveland and Pitt because itis so important for the Steelers to beat the pesky Browns. Minn Needs it and it is tough to know where the occasionally talented Falcons are at. I think Ill stay with the Vikes up in the cold. I'm going Arizona over Seattle, reluctantly. Monday night Buffalo looked invincible and Josh all world but the Rams aren't bad at times. This will be a good game I will stay with the Bills. I'm picking the Los Angeles Chargers to take KC. I just think LAC will be that team the Chiefs can't sneak up on at the end

Of the rest there are several teams really out of it and when they are playing each other, which one will lay down and which will rise up. That is the question and that makes much of it a guessing game. I’ll take Miami over the Jets, and Philly way over the Panthers. (The Carolina has been fighting a bit lately). I have to pick Tampa Bay over Las Vegas, and I just think Tennessee has a little more than Jax. San Fran has been mediocre, but they should beat Chicago. The New York Giants are woeful so I'm going a for a reignited New Orleans in that one. Finally, there is a difficult pick of two teams going nowhere. Dallas and Cincy – two who were media darlings in September. Burrow is great but Cincy D is embarrassing. Dallas O is suspect but their D can be good. I have stuck my neck out for Cincy all year and I'm doing it again. But tisis your leat chance. Do you hear that Joe Burrow!

Below is a poem sent to me by a good reader. It was a Thanksgiving Day poem but to me it reflects life so warmly and humanly. Because, despite the harangue of politics and things that dominate the communications blare, what is centered around that table that has been a symbol of continuity through a changing life is basically more likely what is experienced by large majority of people in our society. This was written by a guy named Peet Nourjian:

Tables Turning

The table in the dining room

A gift when we were bride and groom

Became our desk when plans were made

Blueprints rolled out – the bills were paid

Table for two was far too brief

When kids were born another leaf

The dining room was not the same

Surrendered to a Lego game

Teenage years wild as they get

Table strung with a ping pong net

Poker games without our knowledge

Then one day they’re off to college

The table once again was ours

Starched linen and fresh cut flowers

Set for every family member

The fourth Thursday in November

This poem copied in will probably mess up my spacing. Things happen in word world that continually befuddled me.

One tectonic plate bumped into another and said, “Sorry, my fault.”

The ten most innovative countries are Switzerland. Sweden USA, Singapore, UK, E Republic of Korea, Finland, Netherlands, German and Demark. The USA is number 3 despite having Rhode Island as a state.

Timmy’s teacher asks the class, “What is the chemical formula for water?” Timmy pipes up and replies, “HIJKLMNO!!!”

Think about it.

Uh-Oh – Mcdonalds probably just lost the hugest potential market in the world. Most populous India has banned eating beef in public. There's a big opportunity KFC or Chic-fil-A to rushing in and remodeling the Mac stores.

The Answer:

In 1776 a group of students at William and Mary college formed Phi Beta Kappa to hinor the best students. And Thus cliques were born.  Bonus: Number one performer this century is Beyonce. Taylor only made number 2. Ther rest in order are Rhianna, Drake, Lady Gaga, Britany Spears Adele, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Kanye West.

Noses run. Feet smell. Weird.

Taylor made lots of dough, and Beyonce certainly got the acclaim, But I remember a lot of Adele setting records and winning awards and being on top during the 2000's. Yeah, I heard alot about Adele being great. And I like her voice:
