A Caramel World.

Today's Tids Issue 5,435

It will be sticky:

I remember back in my youth when little square caramels were big. Now caramels are in everything. (Even caramelized onions) Somethings just stand the test of time.

It’s freak out time in America. Many Repubs are freaking out because Trump appears to be their only choice. Trump is freaking out because Nikki still exhibits confidence and strength. Trump is freaking out by threatening big donors to Haley. Do we really need a freak out world in the USA. I like Ike.

“Ancient Egyptians knew the best way ot style a cat's hair was witha catacomb.” Great, just Great. Now the readers are freaking out

The Question:

Here’s a fun game you can play. See of you can turn a book or film title into something edible. Here’s two examples: Eats of Eaden, When Harry met Salsa. This is a great party game for friends who know books and movies. Run wild and give me one good example of your own. Bonus: Faith Hill became the first Country singer to hit it with a number one song since Glenn Campbell in 1975. Only two others before Glenn, Johnny Horton and Patsy Cline did the same. What was Faithe Hill's song and what were the songs of the other Three?

I sat on a beach this morning in the rain and watched a surfer wait to catch a wave. The ocean was rough but decent waves were few and far between. But there he was, sitting in the cold ocean waiting, waiting, waiting. What patience. He'll probably be pulled over for speeding on the way home.

One of the continuing big myths is that Trump destroyed choice for woman. The court basically moved it back to the states. Many of the big issues in the US are about the essence of a basic understanding about how our government works – Centralized Federal control of everything or the constitutionally designated controls of states per the Tenth amendment.

Tenth Amendment:The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” This is one reason why teh US is so different from so many other countries, other democracies. The state’s independence allows them to create and implement new ideas beyond more stringent mandates and regulations of a central federal government. The idea is called “The laboratory for Democracy”, which is pretty cool. The next one to go back to the states and the people should be education.

There is a distinct possibility that the economy will look better around election time meaning the decision could weigh upon two no holds barred issues, Illegal Immigration and Women's Choice/Abortion. Those are the two most emotional issues. And we know sensibility disappear when overridden by emotion.

Poor Things got a lot of Oscar nominations, but I am not tempted to see it. This is typical for many of the ballyhooed Oscar films, at least for me.

A seldom used Patriots WR named Kayshon Boutte was arrested for fraudulently abusing gambling laws on a web site. He says he never bet on himself or his LSU team. But here’s what startled me. The records show that his account made 8,900 bets! How many other college kids are getting in over their heads in America's latest addiction? That is a question that may have to be answered in the not too distant future.

Talk about a topic for discussion. You have probably read about teh start of teh trial to determine teh guilt of teh parents of Michigan mass High School shooter, Eric Chumbley. This is a potentially precedent setting trial – how guilty are parents for their kid's action.

The Answer:

Her are some Foodie books you may have thought about: The Lord of the Onion Rings The Hunt for the Red Snapper, True Grits, The Catcher in the Rye Bread or War and Peas. Bonus: Fatih made it number one with Breathe. She also had #2 for 2000 – The way you Loved Me. Hortons was “The Battle of New Orleans’, Cline “I fall to Pieces” and Glenn, “The Rhinestone Cowboy.

How about if we end this one with the Number One Billboard song of 2000:
