Today's Tids Issue 5,426
It still feels like inflation to me:
Now I’m mad. My once great newspaper is changing teh comics section and from what I can see, a couple of my favorites will be in the dumpster. Let's face it, comics are one of the few remaining reasons to buy a newspaper. BTW. Who anointed Garfield as being untouchable, a pop culture icon. I have yet to laugh at all.
Good, I got over that. Now it's on to why a good playoff football game is on Peacock. Yes Miami and KC will cost $5.95 to see, and we will still get commercials. And NBC is pushing it as some kind of breakthrough when it is only inconveniencing the majority of football fans. I'll be following it on my CBS Sports app. Maybe Taylor Swift owns Peacock. The mahoffs say the rush to streaming so younger generations can watch TV while driving their cars... Into corner drug stores.
Actually, I'm a youth at heart, except when it comes to paying for stuff I used to get free.
People ask, “Where’s Bigfoot,” but nobody asks, “How’s Bigfoot?” Yeti never complains.
The Question:
Las Vegas is loving the new national sports betting craze. What are eth largest casinos in Las Vegas?

Let’s get to the The TidsPickers. We finished the regular season, 166-105 (61.25%) Next year – 75%. If everything stays the same except that my beloved Pats go undefeated, the TidsPickers are already up ot 65%. Oh well. On Saturday we have teh Browns versus ten Texans and the Chiefs at home against the Dolphins. The rookie QB Stroud of Houston has been exceptional but Cleveland has a “D” that will have him scurrying. I go Browns. A tougher pick is KC against Miami. Tua looked good to me last week in a loss. Travis is healthy again, but Tyreek is super-fast for Miami and will look to beat his old team. This is a very tough pick KC has just not looked like KC this year. But I'm picking them anyhow. On Sunday I like the Bills in a really gritty game to take the Steelers, who have certainly impressed me and many with their late season guts this year. I like Dallas over the Pack, but this could be an upset the way GB’s young QB Jordan Love has been playing lately. On Monday night, I am picking the Eagles to wake up and take TB which isn’t really that good. The ha gamblers are loving TB. The last game is another real poser the Lions and the Rams. Rams usually scatter when Lions roar. I will root for Detroit, bu tI pick the Rams.,
I think I’m being told I'm going to be left out the cold, cold tundra of limited information and opinions if I don't get with it and listen to podcasts. But frankly, I don't care.
If you think college costs are high now, with until your kids begin sending home bills for their sports betting.
It is always nice to go back to seeing a lot of old friends. I’ll be doing that tomorrow at the Art Museum where I used to contribute time. But they wanted money.
Well, good news. The San Francisco Board of Supervisor voted to call for a Cease Fire in Gaza. So, there you have it. It is over. Peace at last. Thanks San Fran.
You can’t just create and distribute energy by wrinkling your nose like Barbara Eden. It takes immense manufacturing capability, skilled labor and a lot of time to build up a backlog of key distribution components like transformers and more. We just aren't that kind of country anymore. It's fun to have a rent-a-room tourist economy but it produces nothing.
Statement 1: “Synthetic oils are often used as a substitute for Petrolium Based Oils.” Statement 2: “Synthetic oils are typically created from chemically modified materials such as petroleum components, but the base Material is almost always distilled crude oil.” Say what?
Some music described as relaxing, isn’t.
I grew up with Bob Hope, Steve Jobs, and Johnny Cash. Now there’s no jobs, no cash, and no hope. Please don’t let anything happen to Kevin Bacon.
The New England Patriots hired Jerard Mayo to replace a Legend. I'm not sure he is the right guy. But then I know little about what he has done. Except when he played and he was very good then, a great leader on the field. He learned everything important he knows about football from Bill Belichick. He is a defensive oriented guy. The Pats biggest problem is Offense. Hmmm. We’ll see.
As I stand outside in the morning under blue sunny skies, and icy cool fresh air fills my lungs; Seagulls gliding above as if they didn’t care... I find it hard to believe that later today it will turn into a dark and stormy night. And maybe it will inspire Snoopy to write a novel.
Warning: Yesterday I saw a large Diet Pesi in a supermarket priced at $3.39. It seems to me that an increase of 13.3% in a week is a little outside the Inflation guidelines target of 2%.
The good news is that now that the tourists have left you can almost afford lobster again.
I know you all don’t care about my New England Patriots, but it has been an emotional weekend. I’m sorry.
The Answer:
