Who's there?

Today's Tids Issue 5,437

One in three people suffer from Paranoia

The other two are watching them:

Purple and yellow “Peeps” are already hatching, and it isn't even V-Day yet. Is America losing its mind to rampant commercialism.

I'm finding that now-a-days Chunky Soup mean more vegetables.

The scariest thing going on in America right now is us being sucked into a bigger war in the Middle East. You have to imagine that the leaders of Iran, Russia, North Korea and China are sitting back smiling as attacks by their surrogates in the form of ME terror groups are luring teh USA into a war we really don’t need at all.

Still trying to get my head around the fact that ‘Take Out’ can mean food, dating, or murder.”

The Question:

What category of Apps are the most personal data hungry of them All?

The Headlines:

--American Soldiers Killed, Wounded in Iran Sponsored Houthis Attack; Political Drumbeat Increasing for US Reaction.

--Markets in Hold Pattern as Week Ahead will Feature Powell Comments and Key Earnings Reports; Big Industrials on Tap as are Hot five, Microsoft, Meta, Alphabet, Amazon and Apple.

--Italy PM Forced to Sell off Prime Sate Owned Operations to Raise Money Against Massive Country Debt.

--China Orders Gigantic Hong Kong Development Company Evergrande to liquidate; Company Debt at $330 Billion and Affects Holdings in all Major China Mainland Cities.

A reliable source tells me that “the Ohio State Department of Athletics continues to succeed on and off the field, reporting record revenue of $279,549,337 in fiscal year 2023. The biggest company in America, Walmart, had revenues of about $610 Billion. And kids who want to learn can't afford tuition. BTW OSU has 16 men’s teams, 17 women’s teams, three mixed teams and approximately 1,000 student-athletes. Can you still say men's and women's teams. And what is mixed, anyhow?

“Being popular on Facebook is like sitting at the ‘cool table’ in the cafeteria of a mental hospital.”

Life was so much better when we had plastic bags. Well, maybe not for whales.

Will the frivolous debt accumulation of the past years finally become the biggest ugly problem worldwide this year. Will that be the big story here and aboard. Maybe I’m wrong; maybe I'm just too conservative believing that spending without regard for where the comes from, personal business or government, is a problem.

Which brings me to a major pet peeve, paying off loans that were open and defined and agreed upon by both parties. What’s next bailing out people who bet too much on sports events?

By the way, I like the word, “Chunky”. It’s a frolicking way to say I ate too many Peeps.

I’m kind of sad I'll never live to see carbon neutral in 2050. Not really.

Did the NFL cancel news last night so they wouldn't have teh playoffs interrupted? Both games were good, and Detroit really had it until a few aggressive decisions and a couple of dropped passes. Brock Purdy exceeded my expectations. This could be a very good Super Bowl. McCaffery is great and one of my favorite players, but Deebo Samual is a force.

Italy just fired a shot that maybe heard around the world when they banned Microsoft Chat GPT on “privacy concerns”. Personal data was found to be too visible to others during a power Outage. The ban will continue until privacy issues have been resolved. It appears temporary and probably unimportant in the long run, but the action reflects the concerns of politicians and governments across the globe.

Judging by the rise of endless gambling and tacit approvals by all the big sports leagues, I'd say that the Great Pete Rose was just ahead of his time.

The Answer:

Number one is social media followed by Food Delivery, Shopping, Dating, Payments, Flight Bookings, Period Tracker, Messaging and video calls, Streaming, Personal Finance, GPS Nav, Cryptocurrency, Pregnancy Tracker, Weather, Email, Kids, Image Editing and Browsers. The Last three are very low. The three apps that are incredibly abusive to your personal data are Facebook, Instagram and Facebook messenger The rest of eth most prolific data grabbers are Line, PayPal, Amazon Shopper, LinkedIn, Door Dash, Caviar and Wish.

A burglar breaks into a house. He begins to search the home for valuables when hears a quiet voice say, “Jesus is watching you” he dismisses it as paranoia and carries on with his crime. He hears the voice again “Jesus is watching you”. He’s knows this time it’s not in his head so he looks around the room and sees a parrot in the corner. He walks over to the parrot and it repeats one more time “Jesus is watching you”. The burglar says to the parrot. “Is your name Jesus?” “No it’s Moses” the parrot replied. The burglar laughs and says “Who names a parrot Moses?” and the parrot says “The same person who named the Rottweiler Jesus”
