Decency.

today's Tids Issue 5,978

Not too late:

I’m not surprised at all.

Of any edicts that fall;

Of rooms to have a ball,

Or for our allies to fall.

Or for American sprawl.

Yet have we forgotten the call,

Righteousness makes us stand tall.

Richard Strauss in his music has this unique ability to squeeze out just the right emotions just when and how you want them

An enduring truth in our society is politicians fighting for us to solve problems that they and they alone had created.

Honestly, I have never heard of Nikki Glaser. I'm guessing she is a comecian of note and did a good enough job at last year's GGs to be invited back as host. So, I read about her and found that she had practiced all of her lines for GG first at Comedy Clubs and learned one truth. You can insult or make fun of any actor except one – Julia Roberts.  Everybody else is raw meat.

The Question:

Who are the top Movie Stars of all time?

The Headlines:

--Dow in Tank; Nas Lower as Wall Street Reacts to Threat Against Fed and Powell; Street Concerned Over Political Interference in Independent Fed; Banks Credit Card Companies Lower After Trump Orders Interest rates Capped at 10%

--Iranians Continue to Mass; Mourners Now Shouting, “Death to Khamanei”.

--ICE Protests Rage Across US.

--Fed’s Powell Says he has been Served with Subpoenas as DoJ opens a Criminal Investigation on Him; Powell Outraged.

--Top GG Winners: Timoth”ee” Chalamet, Jessie Buckley, “Hamnet” "One Battle after a Another, Adolescence”. Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, Erin Doherty, Rose Byrne, Teyana Taylor and Many More.

The greatest food ruse is the thought that imitation crab actually is a good replacement for real crab.

A hundred years ago an evangelist and Author named Frederick Smith said; "Neither money or pride with make the greatness of America 100 years from now. But lasting power must rest upon ideals and relations with other countries.

Alas... The Pittsburgh Post Gazette just folded for good. It was founded in 1786. I hate watching the good old newspapers die. Many of our great newspapers have been around for hundreds of years. Now the inability of papers to be profitable has many of them tightening the screws to the point where it is hard to publish in a timely manner. The internet, which is squashing the viability of slow news, has been here for a few decades. News without standards is replacing journalism. I remember well around May or April of 2,000 when a very bright guy suggested I try this new search engine Google. Now, Google could run the world.

In the spring-summer-fall I play golf on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In winter I go to Doctor's appointments. They all remark, “You seem fatter”. I tell them its winter boots.

I guess turning off the Green Bay, Chicago game and going to bed was a bad idea.

I liked Kristi Noem. But lately she has been looking like a caricature in a movie satire about government

I like to opine on varied events thatmake up america.. I dip my toes into Hollywood shenanigans from time-to-time as it appears wedded to our culture. But with the Pats playing against the dreaded Golden Gloves awards program, there wasn’t a chance I would have glitterrama in my eyes. But from what io read this morning it was like it always was, disturbing.

More disturbing is the DoJ serving subpoenas toJerome Powell at the Fed and opening a “criminal investigation. Its really all about Trump not getting his way regardless of what Karoline tells us.

Oh Yeah, DT says he did not “Know anything about the investigation. Yeah, sure.

Regardless of the implausible, all the NFL Playoff games were worth watching

Reasonable decorum and good manners is just one of the best ways of saying I respect my fellow human beings. Me-ism has become the antithesis of thoughtfulness. help that at all.

The Answer:

When I'm thinking, soft piano music sets a good mood. I like the creative mellow pianist named Renee Michelle. Below is one of her nice ones that cuts through the cacophony:
