Today's Tids Issue 5,991
Too fast:
Today begins two significant days on Wall Streete. First, the community will be looking for hints from the Fed that may signal how long the rate reduction pause will be. More emphatic may be the financial reports on the Mag 7 beginning today after closing and continuing tomorrow when the final bell rings. The big question: How far away is that future when the big AI investments begin paying off. Anyhow, if you like money, it will be an interesting day or two.
There is little better than a great friend. And that goes for countries too.
The Question:
Who is Godtfred Kirk Christiansen?

Hey, the Tids is counting down to 6,000 issues. But the one next worth celebrating is #10,000. It seems like it may be tough to get there. The state of my mind might be suspecet in 2041.
2041. Wow, the way technology is ramping up combined with an ever-shortening human attention span, it is possible nothing we know will similar after that 15-year span. Why do we forget so quickly. Why can't we savor the most beautiful things in our lives forever. Why can't I be a hoarder.
Change is inevitable except from vending machines. --Stephen Wright
I guess even the old phrase ,”All the tea in China” is doomed to the nostalgia pits as coffee company Starbucks’ sales are soaring there.
That Amazon Layoff is just part of a growing trend among many companies thinning bloated management layers. The idea is to give a sense of ownership to the people doing the work, and cutting out higher pieced managers won't hurt the bottom line either. But it could trickle down to slow the economy, or perhaps the inflation
Hey, Bill Belichick was never Mr. Fuzzy and warm, but he was an innovator always ahead of the rest of the pack and accomplished a championship record untouched by any other coach. Unfortunately, some sports writers are too emotionally fragile to suck it up and vote on the merits of the man. The coach.
Just in case you are interested, I'm hoping the Cleveland Browns find a good coach. They to me have been a magical franchise since the 40’s and 50’s and I feel for Cleveland fans who must watch a storied g franchise l flounder under what appears to be inept ownership.
I think Kodak didn't do well in the battery business because it is nearly impossible to easily open their plastic packages. Everything counts. That said, you can still buy them, and I think they last longer than others, including those of that drum beating rabbit.
I feel a bit sad when I think of formerly great companies like Kodak who could make the right turn when they had to. Their demise sucked out the core of a great city.
One of the great little thrills in an old dinosaur's life is figuring out a tech problem normally only solvable by children. It could also mean I’m regressing.
The Answer:
Old Godtfred was the inventor of interlocking blocks now known as Lego. Other Danes say he is now using them to build a wall around Greenland.
The world surprises, and the world moves on. Remember when this young 13-year-old girl seemed to stand alone in the entertainment world, for a moment. It is a rare voice that should never be muted, yet it seems so distant now:
