What shovel.

Today's Tids Issue 5,989

Respite:

Im glistening a bit, and it just isnt the piles of snow reflected on my face. The NE Pats gutted out a tough win and made it to the SB. It really is hard ot believe. What a wondaful surprise for this Northeast region and I suspect for the Northwest too as the Seahawks showed their might.

BTW, a friend tells me that at the end of Mass Saturday evening the priest told everybody to stay warm and that the snow you will see around 6:30 Sunday is just confetti celebrating the Patriot win. I wonder what he is forecasting for the Super Bowl?

It's not surprising at all to read that manufacturing jobs are declining and not rushing back due to tariffs. Manufacturing output may increase in some areas but only because of refined automation. US manufacturers needed lower labor countries to keep their products affordable for Americans. Actually, the real problem as reported everywhere is the cost of housing. Maybe we should look for third world country real estate agents.

Is there a more relaxing day than one where you can't get out of your neighborhood because of beautiful white fluffy snow, so all you can do is sit back and wallow in the glory of your football trems

What did the tree say to the first snowflake of winter? Long time, snow see.

The Question:

I remember first learning about Amazon and that they expected to make millions selling books. What percent of Americans have read at least one book in a year

.

The Headlines:

--Big Week Ahead in Investment-Ville; Big Tech Examining's On Tap; Fed Expected to Hold Rates, But for How Long is the Question; Gold Passes $5,000 as Clouds Hover Over Stocks; Markets Open Higher.

--Real Threat of Government Shutdown Looms Friday;

--Congressional Repubs Increasingly Concerned over Shootings in Minn; Calling for Investigation.

--SuperBowl Matchup Settled: Seattle Seahawks Versus New England Patriots; Seahawks Early 4.5 point Favorites

--Storm Cleanup Begins Across Half the Country; Power Outages in South; 16 Deaths Attributed to Widespread Storm.

--Private Plane with Eight Aboard Crashes on Take Off at Bangor Maine Airport

Now its Boston's NE Pats against Seattle's Seahawks. Ah, two so-called most liberal of all cites in the Superbowl. What are teh chances of the White House having their own Super Bowl?

I try to avoid aisles of department stores that feature “Active Ware”. It eases guilt.

Many in the medical community are becoming increasingly concerned over the lowering percentages of people using c vaccines. .

What do you call a frozen dog? A pupsicle

The University of Miami football team has a linebacker who is in his eighth year of college. He must have a master's and is working on his Phd, right? Year, sure

I’ve never been a big fan of professional protesters who show up anytime anywhere in anti-something street gatherings. But killing them is out of the question. Good and Pretti should be alive today. There is no question in my mind about that.

In Providence RI four kids beat up a 51-year-old man and he died from the injuries. Three of the four kids were 12 and the fourth only 11. What happened to s civilized society.

I know they are trying to be helpful, but endless snowstorm talk on radio and TV becomes significantly repetitious.

My initial reaction to the Super bowl matchup – the Seattle  Sam Darnold looked a lot better than the NY Jets Sam Darnold.

What do you call a snowman in the summer> A puddle.

The Answer:

59% of Americans have read at least one book. 40% read none, 19% of Americans who read ten or more books were responsible for 82% of all books read in America.

What else:
