Everybody is threatening everybody. Nobody is listening to anybody, but for a few days I got to let it go and get my body attuned to the tension of the NFL playoffs.

We look at skirmishes and terrible situations like the one in Iran; ills around the world that seem so far away. But in this nation of legal immigrants, you never know how a neighbor may be worrying about relatives in these countries under fire.

Ok, it is TidsPicker time. As I said, last week we were 6-0. But we could draw the schneid this week. All eight teams remaining have a good chance of winning. My inclination is to pick the Rams over the Bears, but Chicago keep coming back. Nah, I’ll stick with the Rams. They are getting healthier. I like watch the Niners, and nobody really gives Seattle the respect they deserve. They just play smart and Tough. They will win. Buffalo and Denver is a doozy. Josh Allen can certainly carry the day better Bo Nix. But he has three nagging injuries. Denver is playing well and doesn’t make mistakes. Denver stifles Cook and wins against a hobbled Josh. And then there are the Pats against Houston whom you know is a team I thought most of the year could go all the way. I think the Pats can minimize Stroud. Can the eke out just enough offense? I say yes. Pats keep it going.
After decades of animosity between the two big “C” countries, the Trump tariffs have Canada and China agreeing to help each other. That sounds like Nobel Peace Prize material to me.
The LA Dodgers just keep on getting richer.
I don't know about you, but I’m seeing regular daily headlines like “Breaking: Trump threatens...”
I just realized that this is a long weekend with MLK being celebrated on Monday. But then, all my weekends are about seven days long.
That attempt at retired person’s humor aside, I always enjoy listening to MLK”s “I had a dream,” Speech.” There's a lot of common sense in it.
After another big Russai attack, Ukraine is without power today, and it is freezing over there. The struggle continues, Russia is relentless, but Ukraine’s battle for survival seems to be lost in Minnesota and in the flames of newer disputes. One day we are on the brink of a peace agreement and the next day we are buried in yesterday's news. Doesn't seem right, does it.
The newest “Trump Threatens” headline just came in. This one was disturbing, saying he Threatened to punish with tariff increases all countries that don’t support his Greenland agenda. No wonder Wall Street is confused when tariffs are used as punishment, are whimsical at times and not necessarily economically driven.
Why would a pig dressed in black never get bullied? Because Batman promised to protect Goth-ham. Well, that just ruined your weekend.
The Answer:
Fleek means Perfect in appearance or execution. Drip means great style or fashion sense. Kicks are shoes. And Yeet is an exclamation used to express enthusiasm. Yes, often beneath that sullen teen exterior there is a bit of enthusiasm in the heart. BTW, it is entirety possible these words are already obsolete.
