RI: The Crisco State.

Today's Tids Issue 2,452
Opening Stuff:

Our politicians here have for years been greasing the skids for inflated pensions and Gov Employee bennies, and now we are them. Greece that is. While I know it seems irrelevant to you across the country when I talk about RI, our plight is fast becoming a test case for potential rioting in the streets, ala the "Seat of Civilization". The union leadership, who got this state into it's current mess, are making not so veiled threats about encouraging resistance, that could include violence to stem the gathering storm among taxpayers, led by fearless and knowledgeable State Treasurer Gina Raimondo. In her efforts to re-stabilize the state, she has even moved Chafee-Lite away from his election benefactors. But, this task is a nearly impossible one even without the interference of Union leaders who's main object is to protect their power base at the expense of the taxpayers. As you watch your own deteriorating local economies keep an eye to the east.

I suspect we're going to hear a lot of about Sharia Law now that the toppled dictators are being replaced with Islamist groups. It will appear that the harsher ramifications of their law will be soften or hardened by various media based on their ideological views. And Islamist leaders with a view to participating in a world economy will moderate their views and their definition of the guiding religious law. Where will it all go -- war or peace. I really don't think anybody knows for sure, but there's a lot of opinions already floating around.

I don't know about you, but my body isn't feeling any tingling from the OWS operation.

The Question:

Which citizens elected George Nee President of Rhode Island?

The anti religion folks some how confuse the Constitution's "Freedom of Religion" with their "Freedom from Religion. Yeah...that's it. They're just confused. Not a resentful, bitter bone in their collective bodies. Must be one of those typos missed by "Spell Check".

The more you try to write about and interpret the news, the more you learn that there isn't any real news on a day to day basis.

With the rise of all if these gigantic medical specialty operations, I think there is a bigger than ever need for some kind of quarterback to guide people thought the morass. Too many of the so-called specialty centric experts care little about other aspects of a person's health situation. The Internist, family doctor, or whatever your want to call it, is probably the most important element in efficient, correct medical care.

Almost Near: Chapter 46. --Samantha's hand started to shake as she pressed slowly pressed the off button on her phone the phone. Dante was in the hospital. He was mowed down by a hit and run driver.
She had called for the comfort she had begun to find in his presence and needed now. And also, because she felt she needed Dante's legal mind on her side. At least her mind was able to reason now. She seemed capable of making decisions. She had locked up the house and drove the stolen car to a lot next to the Bus Station in downtown Gloucester. She left the keys in the ignition and the window cracked, hoping that some joyrider might just take the car. Amd I becoming diabolical she thought. Or have I always been like this. She wiped the the steering wheel and everything else she may have touched. And got out. As she turned, she saw a bus with Portsmouth New Hampshire on it's front sign idling in one of the stalls in the station. Fishermen, she remembered, often traveled between the two ports. How did she know that?
Now she looked at the Hospital as she got out of the Taxi. What would she find. She entered and with just a few minutes she found herself on the fourth floor, looking at Dante's room. And the policeman sanding outside the door.

The Answer:
The filthiest surface of all is one that your wallet tells you to avoid! Gasoline Pump Handles. After that in order of filth we have handles on public mail boxes, escalator rails and ATM buttons. The next big group of germ breeders were Parking meters and kiosks, crosswalk buttons and buttons on vending machines in shopping Malls. I'm going to line of designer hazard clothing for busy people on the go.

Either there is a dearth of human quirks these days, or my mind is getting lazy. I think it;s the latter, becasue humans are always doing stupid things. But then, how many times can you write about The Government.
