Does anybody remember America the free?

Today's Tids Issue 2,528
Opening Stuff:

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals continues to make the California voter irrelevant.

The Dems in Congress are blatantly trying to turn Obama's assault on Freedom of Religion into a Republicans Hate Women's health rights thing. But they are doing a disservice to the very essence of the US Constitution. Many Liberals and their favorite news observers like Chris Matthews and LL Dione, are quite aware that the Prez and his advisers missed this one Big time! It is Constitution 101, and any one with a non-politically biased brain knows it. While the assault appears to be against Catholics, all religions are jumping behind them knowing that it is without question Government against religion...and a very dangerous precedent. You know the Libs see the truth behind the religious resistance when Malinda Henneberger, a writer for the Washington Post, could only say as a solution: "Maybe the Founders were wrong to guarantee free exercise of religion in the First Amendment, but that's what they did and I don't think we have to choose here."

Hey, maybe we should just give the Constitution to the 9th Circuit court and let them redo it.

Last year's NCAA Basketball champion UConn is on a disastrous slide to nowhere. Maybe it's because new UConn Prez Susan Herbst is looking at the players scholastic report cards on a weekly basis! Proving once again that learning and playing basketball for many is like oil and water.

The Question:
1. Name five Mia Farrow movies. Bonus: Which two Presidents had known affairs with the two youngest interns?

I watched American Idol last night and it was torture. Maybe it's because, to this untrained ear, all of the a cappella offerings sounded eerily the same even if the songs were different. And even when the song title was familiar, the melody wasn't. Over half of the "Hollywood!" winners are gone now. So it will get serious and maybe more enjoyable soon. names you will be hearing appear to be Hejan Han, Johnny Keyser, Phillip Phillips, Creighton Fraker, Aaron Marcellus, David Leathers and funnyman comic Reed Grimm. On the female side some early faves seem to be sob story Jessica Phillips, purple hair Angie Zeiderman and then some Fix news blonds Hallie Day, Brittany Kerr, Baylie Brown, Shannon Magrane and Lauren Gray. The other gals were Elise Testone and Erika Van Pelt.

Also on TV last night was the return of the 1950's Edward R. Murrow show "Person to Person". My immediate thought was that some time around August we'll be visiting the Obama's in the White House. God help us.

Further investigation into the creation of the "Halftime in America" ad for Chrysler, reveals that the artists and writers were pro Obama with creative alliances with his

Tom Rush has been described as the only man allowed to sing Joanie Mitchell songs. I don't know what that means either.

TV came to a halt last night as an "Amber Alert" about a missing 13 year old girl popped up on the screen. With in an hour the girl -- who had been missing for over a day and who's parents received texts, "I'm tied up and will be killed -- was found with two teen boys at the Providence mall. It was nice to see how well Amber Alert works. It was sad to see yet again irresponsible teens in action.

Almost Near: Chapter 60 continues. --Audrey blurted, "Jeez, Tucker knows where they are. He was with me. He told me when we left Florence that he felt as if they were his. I just brushed it off at the time. After all he was a nice guy, and often said things that seemed surreal. I always chalked up is pleasant insanity as that of an author. What do you think about Tucker, anyhow? It seems he has been running back and forth between the two of us. He's making me edgy now."
"I felt that Tucker was my savior. He was always nice to me when I was lost. His words always pulled me out of things that were hard in my life. When I first met him in Lobster Cove it was better than perfect. And then things became strange. I thought it was all me. my fault. But now that I know so much more, I'm not so sure anymore. When I learned that he had ran his car intentionally into Dante, everything obviously changed, But, even before that something about him was bothering me. I started to close up myself in his presence. Maybe it's what I buried in my past. Maybe he has kept everything hidden from me."
"Stay right where you are Sam. I'm calling Florence.

The Answer:
1. Mia Farrow's first big role was in Rosemary's Baby, but she gained early stardom with her brief marriage to Frank Sinatra and as Allison MacKenzie in Peyton Place. After Rosemary, her next big role was as Mattie in True Grit. Other films included Secret Ceremony, John and Mary, See No Evil, The Great Gatsby and A Wedding. Then she became Woody Allen's girl in Broadway Danny Rose, Purple Rose of Cairo, Hannah and Her Sisters, Radio days and Alice. Bonus: There are rumors floating around that Clinton is upset at losing out in the young intern race to his boyhood hero again. Kennedy 19 years old; Clinton 21 years old.

I got up this morning expecting to write something uplifting and ethereal to start the Tids in a happy frame of mind. Sunshine for all. But, I just got buried by irrational insanity and couldn't stop myself from condemning the slippery agendas undermining the greatness of our free, self determination country. The lefties made me do it.

A Florida court sets athiest holiday: In Florida, an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!" The lawyer immediately stood and objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..." The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counselor, is woefully ignorant." The lawyer said," Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists." The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool’s Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned..."
