Presidents are humans too.

Today's Tids Issue 4,327
Drifting along in thoughts:

Sometimes we forget that people on pedestals are as human as we are. We have seen it in Presidents and emperors, and Kings and Queens throughout history. Execs who sit in lofty offices, always look for confidants who can be friends in need, indeed. People have long looked at titled people mystically, and that includes ranked people in the military or public services or priests in a church. Yet Neath the grandeur we will find human frailties in people who were born of mothers, and raised in families; who had aspirations and failures, but for the most part hung in there better than some. I have found many of those aloof who are looking for a kindly ear. The prince looked out hopefully from his castle window, wondering if that friend would come.

Did you hear about the monkeys who shared an Amazon account? They were prime mates

Several local Boston sports writers are saying the Pats should sign Kaepernick because it would be a good story line. Belichick and the Pats have own championships because they have successfully avoided “good story lines” at all costs.

All of a sudden more and more younger Americans are waking up to the fact that a choiceless “Medicare for all” is not what they are looking for in their health insurance.

The Question:
As many of you may remember, Susan Boyle was the surprise Britain AGT singer who opened wide the eyes of skeptics. What was the name of the song that brought the audience and judges to their senses…and feet? How many record albums do you think Boyle has sold since her first big surprise on stage?

There seems to be a lot more snow induced winter car crashes the past several years, which is ironic since most cars of today are front wheel or four-wheel driven, which are supposedly much better for snow control. I’m thinking the problem is that too many drivers think the car capabilities makes them invincible.

We all just want to belong. But unfortunately, some of us are short.

Taxes are the only cost that contributes to high living expenses in different states. Utility bills can crowd you out too. The state with the highest utility bills is none other than paradise itself – Hawaii. Second is Alaska, and third is little old Rhode Island. And, that these utility bill stats don’t even include water bills which is the new way municipalities tax citizens. Number 4 is Connecticut followed by New York, New Hampshire. Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine. Note, NE states continually reject lower cost electricity production. The cheapest states are Idaho, Utah, Montana, Washington, Nevada, Louisiana, Oregon, SD, Arkansas and Wisconsin. The colonial northeast still is working off of colonial infrastructure. Yikes.

The AGT Champions show just finished and magician Shin Lim won it all, just months after he kept audiences spellbound during his last Summer US-AGT victory. He is quite the amazing performer. He beat out one of my absolute favorite performers – singing ventriloquist Darci Lynn Farmer. The next three in the race were #3, sand artist Ksenniya Siminova, Spanish singer Cristina Ramos and comedian Preacher Lawson. But, I was impressed that the voting went for two who I consider the tops of the show al time.

I see where Bernie announced this morning, saying he wants a million people from every state. That’s how socialists count numbers, a million here a million there, even when Wyoming, RI, Vermont, Alaska, North and South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, and possibly Maine and New Hampshire can’t physically produce a million people, much less enough of those who would want to live in a government run country.

If you ever think of getting me a retirement present, don’t go to a fire pit store.

BTW, a very smart political analyst for Brown U says Bernie runs for Present because he doesn’t have much to do in the Senate.

I find that often the Tids are worth reading just to find one funny joke buried in inside my hectic thoughts. Unfortunately, some days that’s all they’re worth reading for.

The Answer:
Susan stunned the crowd and the judges with “I Dreamed a Dream” from LM. Susan Boyle since her amazing international debut w-has sold 20 Million albums! She didn’t do it with lasers and loud bands, nor costumes and fire crackers, and dancers leaping. She just stood there in her simple homemade demeaner and sang the hell out of good songs.

I have cramped mornings lately, so “The Parking Lot” has been sacrificed. But it will return. Like, “Whoopee”, right?
