Computers
are running everything, but never Justice Anthony Scalia’s
mind. He held strong innate beliefs upon which he never wavered. He set
standards at the highest levels; He was disturbed seeing them broken down. He
knew that too many people opt for a guiltless society, a culture without
personal responsibility; he was an unwavering barrier to the decline a new aura
would propagate. And now he is gone. We
have lost our wall, our voice, our conscience.

I
just can’t understand why people would pay $260 for
something called a “Smart plate”. This plate would internally weigh food
portions and have little pop-up cameras which would take pictures of each meal
segment. The data would be analyzed, a report would be sent showing complete
nutritional and caloric info. Gadzooks man, have we lost our minds? I can see
the data being sent to the Surgeon General’s computer which would in turn send
it to Medicare or ObamaCare (Or will that be Sander’sCare) to adjust premiums
according to Mother government;s arbitrary standards. Technology is good. Yeah,
right.
If
you wonder that I sound like a paranoid big government conspiracy
theorist, the answer is simple – I am.

I’m
really getting tired of these childish Repub debates. I
hear nothing new and only see candidates looking less desirable the more they speak.
Actually, Saturday night I found myself liking Carson’s closing words, and in
particular his quote from Stalin about how to defeat American by squashing it’s
morality, patriotism and spiritualism. That is, until I looked it up Sunday
morning and found that it was never said by Stalin and was just made up by some
internet troll. Sounds great to me, though. I think Scalia could have said it.
Tip
of the day: Buy a sedan and save money. Car
dealers are saying enough already to shipments of sedans which are piling up on
back lots as people go for SUV’s and trucks. There will be deals galore in the
coming year for cars at all price and luxury levels.

I
see more and more young married couples saying they are
happily blessed with “Fur Babies”. Shoot me. So while American families are
propagating their heritage with dogs, cats and ferrets, immigrant groups like
Hispanics and middle easterners are creating broad populations with real
people. Simple math says that the USA could shortly be an unmanageable 500
million with traditional white and black Americans in the decided minority. It
is happening in Europe. Justice Scalia had 9 children and 35 grandchildren. His
single biggest concern, according to those close to him, was the breakdown of the
American family, the bedrock of any positive society. Even evolutionists agree
that propagation is the means to perpetuating the strongest of genes.
All
you have to do to understand the dangers of
Bernie Sanders smothering government socialism is to look at Venezuela and
Rhode Island.
In
RI, “It’s just politics” equates to extortion.
The Governor here has succeeded in getting a bill passed that will toll trucks
to pay for roads. Of course the real problem that they should have been looking
at is the Department of Transportation, and its construction company cronies,
which should have been maintaining these roads with plenty of available money
supposedly dedicated the purpose year after year. But that’s another story. The
extorter here is the DOT which through the legislature told representatives
that it would not show up for road damage emergencies in their towns they voted
against the bill. So basically people in towns who pay taxes at least for
decent roads can be usurped by thugs in a State agency. Disgusting.
I
really am disturbed by all of these cases of sexual assault,
which are becoming routine on college campuses. I always thought respecting
women should be a pretty intrinsic value within a good man. But it seems that
somewhere every weekend some woman is raped or assaulted in some way. Maybe it
is just more evidence of our value system slipping away. But, this instance of
irresponsibility is disastrous to real lives. Somewhere in this society, be it
homes or schools or Hollywood, the message of positive relationship is not
being told.

One
of the economic problems in America is that CEO’s and
cohorts getting paid enormous sums of money for meeting quarterly goals, which
is good for Wall Street denizens, but not necessarily so hot for companies and
employees.
If
you watch political and cultural trends, you may shudder at
the only two emerging choices that may be available to our children and grand
children -- Socialists or Vegans. Aren’t these two masses on the upswing those most
likely to not understand the concept of gravy?.
Do
you mean there is something else to do on Sundays other than
preparing for and watching the NFL?
I
observed in the supermarket yesterday that trendiness is
forcing my favorites off shelves. The latest delicious food to fall to cultural
sheepism is butterscotch syrup, the best of all ice cream toppings. It was
kicked off the shelf by the new fave pop taste treat, salted caramel. It’s
actually happening everywhere, trendy foods replacing classic good tasty stuff.
It won’t be soon before Mac’s fries will be contaminated by jalapeño peppers.
Pretty
soon generations won’t know what the word gravy means
just as they now don’t why we fought World War II.

Parking Lot: Chapter 45 continues…
The next
morning Jeremiah, one crutch under this left arm, was outside walking along the
road as part of his recovery routine. Te pain had long subsided, but he felt
that his stomach and left side was still tender.
Up ahead
he heard hoofbeats coming fast. Within seconds a horse and rider rounded the
bend so quickly that he could not move fast enough. The shoulder of the horse
hit his left shoulder, pushing him of the
road into the bushes. He fell hard, screaming as he once again felt pain. His
hand went to his side. He lay now breathing heavily to douse the fire he felt
in his wounded area. It subsided as rapidly as it came, and he smiled now
finding that no blood was oozing into his hand. He used the crutch to haul
himself up and turned towards home in the direction of the rider.
He heard
the shouting as the house came into view. He now recognized the rider as one of
the Howland sons. Richard was standing firm looking up as the youth screamed.
None of the Hicks were speaking, just standing silently observing the storm.
All of the Hicks except him were good at controlling emotions.
Elizabeth
calmly walked out and stood to the side of the door, back leaning against the
front of the house. She stared up at Tommy Howland, who was now looking around
at the gathering family, feeling embarrassed as nobody reacted to his words.
Richard
spoke, “We couldn’t understand a word you said, Tom.”
“My
father is dead.”

I
heard a reporter on NPR yesterday talking about how he had Zika while stationed
in Central America, and that it wasn’t much of anything.
In fact, he said there are several really serious diseases like Dengue virus
which authorities in the Southern America’s are still finding very difficult to
control. He suggested that the USA will be largely untouched by Zika, especially
now in the winter in the north where it is virtually impossible to encounter.
He says hysteria in this instance is unwarranted. What appears to be fueling
the outcry is the link to unborn children and the possible malformation at
birth. Here’s the rest of the story. The real issue being raised there in South
American countries like Brazil is by pro Abortion groups who will use the
created panic to further break down religious backed, tough abortion laws. See
there is always a story you can’t see when issues out of nowhere become pervasive
in the news.
