Today's Tids Issue 3,761
For Noodling:

(Note: To give you something to read while waiting for Today’s Tids, here is yesterday’s Tids…just a tad late –The Tad Tids)

Do you think that the Prez famous ego was in charge Monday when he seemed to imply that it was time to eliminate the two-term president rule because America lost out having him again? I don’t think he is reading the tea leaves any better than The Hill. I don’t think he realizes what he has done to America, our harmony, our place in the world. I could go on but I’m still feeling the Christmas spirit.

Super banker Jamie Dimon tells the tale of economist Milton Friedman visiting China and being on a tour with officials touting their country’s progress. At one major project he notices thousands of workers with shovels preparing the site while machines of all sizes are idle in the background. Friedman asks. “Why don’t you use the machines for productivity.” The officials answered saying that they create more jobs this way. Friedman comments, “Why then don’t you give them spoons.” You see, the job development game that Politicians play is not necessarily good for robust economic growth, but often only to satisfy promise. Remember “featherbedding” that pushed railroads into the background of America’s growth, and all sorts of “make-work” schemes that contributed to companies tp leave states and ultimately the country. Now, everybody wants to create jobs, but at want expense.

The Question:
In honor of our departing President I thought I’d ask a question today about his boyhood homeland, Indonesia. The largest Islamic state in the world, and the fourth largest country in the world. How long has Indonesia been in existence? Bonus: What are the other nine largest countries by population in the world.

The Headlines:
It’s just old news today. Wait for today’s

I have developed a plot for a new novel. It’s about the government in the year around 2030 rounding up all subversive Americans who have failed to sign up for Facebook, and other Government designated citizen data collection systems.

I hear college students talking about their ethics classes, and they sound more like propaganda classes to me, where the only ethics discussed are those revolving around the professor’s ideologies. Jeez, tat’s sound unethical to me.

In case you missed it, the five most innovated states are #1 Massachusetts followed by California, New Jersey, Washington and Maryland. The bottom three are Mississippi, West Virginia and Arkansas. Maybe Hill could go back to Little Rock and revive the momentum of the state to the point as misrepresented when they first ran for Prez.

Scientists are still trying to interpret the most recent blasts from outer space. It appears now that the latest picked up in March at the large PR space surveying locale are exactly the same as 11 previous bursts. Scientist say they are all coming from a location 3 billion light years away. This is not a joke. Would some of you math geniuses tell me when something traveling at the speed of sound was sent from 3 billion light years away. That universe could have been destroyed by now.

But, I do believe that humans just like us could be living just like us in a planet somewhere out there.

The Answer:
Indonesia, a country of over 13,000 islands covering 735,358 square miles was ruled by the Dutch for 300 years before becoming independent on August 14 1945. Bonus: The top ten countries by population are China, India, United Sates, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia and Japan.

The Tids yesterday, short and late…just like me.
