I wonder as I wander.

Today's Tids Issue 4,275
Awesome:

The Heavens open wide tonight, like perhaps, John the Baptist shedding the first light of Christmas. The sky will be illuminated with showers of meteors bursting in the vast blackness of eternity. I will look to find time to ponder the wonderment. To enjoy the challenge in contemplating the unexplained. To savor the comfort of accepting it. It is a night of light and surely of faith.

With tax revenue from cigarettes running lower, states are turning to marijuana and gambling to supplement waning evil income from cigs. Am I missing something here?

That White House skirmish yesterday between the Trumpster, lala-Pelosi and Chuck was odd at best.

I’m generally pretty much a happy-go-lucky person. But, all of these giant data breaches are beginning to make me edgy. I hate edgy.

The Question:
Disco was never a part of this Tidsters life, but I heard mention of a successful phenomenon of the 70’s called Saturday Night Fever. Name the three top songs from the movie.

I always say, if in fact there is an end to the apparent infinite blackness we see above, I have to also ask, what’s on the other side.

A guy named Glick who always used clicks went to the bricks to get a suit that fits. Many are learning what many have known that there must be a way for a majority of consumers to feel and see goods before purchasing in air. Yes, the salvation of shuttered shopping malls could be those very companies contributing to the agita, companies of a digital nature. Research has shown that there is indeed a finite group who will only buy on line, period. Many more like the sense of seeing before believing. And digital companies need those luddites for growth, even if it goes against their virtual dogma. So smart web only merchants are now setting up old fashioned touchy feely show stores for people who need more than pixels. And Mr. Glick, he and his stylish chicks are getting a kick from his slick new pick, a virtual shop with human tailor and suits that fit. Yes, bricks is the new digital shtick.

Rhode Island has become adept at a new theory for economic growth. Instead of making the state comfortable and inviting for business, (If they even have an idea of how to do that) they are suing big businesses in other states. Easy money, easy misappropriation.

One of the hottest selling cook books again this Christmas season is “The Instant Pot Bible”. I’m sure many who receive it are asking, when do I stir in the marijuana, and how much? The Instant Pot is a brand name for the latest in ultimate cooking, an electric pressure cooker with 7 cooking functions including browning, sautéing, and slow cooking. The states wanted to Tax it!

Are you getting the sense that the stumbling block in getting border security funding is the word “Wall”.

It seems like a lot of people are trying to establish their identity though diet restrictions. You know, I’m not male, female or other, I’m vegan or gluten free. But, that’s good for small specialty businesses. Or, are small specialty business promoting finding an identity through food you avoid. You never know.

How do I know that a helpful email from my security company to help in the latest breach is actually an email from my security company?

I have always been for intense border security, but I have always thought the Wall would be an expensive government boondoggle, a white elephant.

The Answer:
Number one hit was “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees. Next was Boogie Shoes by KC and the Sunshine Band. “If I Can’t Have You” by Yvonne Elliman would be #3. The Bee Gees return again with the Title song – “Saturday Night Fever”. Next by the BG’s is “More than a Woman”. In the movie finale we see Tony at wandering aimlessly through the subway station on the way to Stephanie’s apartment, with “How Deep is your Love “ in the background.

I have gone to the beach early, early in the morning to gaze at meteor showers past. I have always found many early risers there with me on those cool darkened morns, drinking coffee, holding hands, nestled together; oohing, aahing as one bright light streams across the darkened sky above the ocean deep. And then another. And another. The stillness. The awe. The beauty of calm.
