Today's Tids Issue 5,518
Dinosaur Day:
A younger person asked me for directions and began happily telling them to enjoy the greenery along the highway before it ends at the historic old white church. Take a glance at the architectural detail and then turn right onto Main Street. You'll enjoy the little shops, I’d say. After the shops you'll come to five amazing colonial homes. After the fifth home, turn left onto Featherbed Lane and when it comes ot a “T" you'll be facing the old one room schoolhouse. Very cool looking. From there go left and then a quick right. At the end of a white slat fence you'll see a gleaming pond which should be pleasant today with gentle breezes rippling the waters. You'll see the home you are looking for right there by the pond. My granddaughter was looking up at me. “Granddad all I need is the address for my GPS. Where has the romance in the little things of life gone? Have we lost our ability to feel wonderment in the digitized world. How will your heart ever feel the immensity of beauty if machines are writing your Love letters. How will we feel.
It's highly unlikely that cow flatulence and gas guzzling cars corrupted the sun to the point that it would emit a serious Cat 4, Magnetic Solar storm. Yes, we are a product of the forces of the universe. Our vast oceans and land that they caress are touched by the moon and stars, as are a our hearts.
Readinga romance story in braille is always a touching story.
The Question:
I could never answer this question, but it is a part of being aware in the new society around us beyond Swing, Jitterbug and Rock and Roll. Rappers to succeed must achieve respect. It is huge in that industry Who are the most respected Rappers?
The Headlines:

Anton Dvorak wrote a lot of happy music, stirring melodic passages. His Eighth Symphony is just fun to hear, a good way to start a day.
I will never understand teh use of the word “Core” to describe the basic Government inflation stats which leave out food and energy. What could be more core than eating and warmth and charging digital devices.
Sad, Department:
Remember normally in May
When grads were given their due.
And entire families were there
As they tossed caps in the air
But now they're held Hostage,
Sadly, by a mere angry few.
Peoepl are thinking twice about running into a fast-food place for an inexpensive meal.
I see where the Tech service industries are maturing. Yes, the Apple store in Towson Maryland potentially is the first in the new American biz environment facing a strike. Will that be the beginning of the end of lushness?
There’s a big difference between the old industrial America and service app industries. Back when a good manufacturing factory that employed the bulk of people in their cities and towns across the northern eastern and Midwestern America northern cites found union demands just too much, they just shuttered the factory and moved south to find thousands of workers eager to work for less wages, Of course when the wages and demands in southern factories began ticking up, they picked up and moved overseas. But in the service industry, a Starbucks in Sri Lanka doesn’t help a coffee lover in Salt Lake City. He or she just pays more.
Bill and Melinda started out as an Office romance. But his PowerPoint didn't Excel. So she denied him Access without a Word. Outlook was not good.
After 30 years of marriage, people always ask, "What's the secret of keeping the romance alive?" I always tell them... We go to the same romantic restaurant every week, twice a week... I go on Tuesday. She goes on Fridays. --Henny Youngman
It would be interesting see how many good American businesses have been put out of business by big money grabbing takeovers.
I have to think that in these times of mind-boggling prices, the very best value in the USA is a rotisserie chicken from a supermarket, and even better one from Costco or BJ's.
A good ole’ Tids reader and tall tale teller writes to say, “Roy Rogers got some new cowboy boots and went out for a ride in the wilderness. A mountain lion jumped out and grabbed his foot. Roy shot the cougar and brought it back to camp. There they asked him, “Pardon me, Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?” For Glenn Miller lovers.
The Answer:
Number One most respected is Tupac Shakur. He was shot when he was 25. Next is The Notorious B.I.G. The rest are Nas, Ice Cube,
Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick, Lamar, Snoop Dog, Outkast, Andre 3000, 50 Cent, Easy-E, Rakim, J. Cole, Method Man, JAY-Z, Busta Rhymes, DMX, Lil Wayne and a Tribe Called Quest.
Maybe I'll write tomorrow's issue in rap.
Gotta run. Bin a pleasure.
